Eventide Eclipse

 

The world wide web is a fast and effective way to get information about music recording. One of the most interesting aspect of recording is the use of effect processors. Though there are numerous manufacturers of effects, EventideŽ is a leader in terms of technology, flexibility, customization and sound quality. They have an extensive web site with a lot of information about their products.

EventideŽ is also very active on one of the Yahoo! groups, Eventidehelps. On Eventidehelps a lot of additional support is given (i.e. tutorials). Also, it's a discussion forum where various subjects, such as sound design, patch creating, studio setups, etc. are addressed.

Inside this community several people are working on presets (patches) for the units. Especially for the EclipseTM a lot of patches have been made by eventidehelps members. In november 2002 a patchreview team has started, to share the information and new ideas.

On this site you will find reviews of user patches and soundclips recorded by our review team. Though currently the focus is on patches for the EclipseTM, this may be extended to other models as our pool of reviewers grows. On this site the reviews are stored. The soundclips that are available, are from the latest reviews only, due to the limited space. Have fun listening to all the effects made by this fine piece of gear.
