| Baby #2 Appointments & Updates |
| Appt: June 28, 2006 (10 weeks) |

| First midwife appt with baby #2. The lady who helped deliver Eli is now my main midwife. She was alright, but I hope delivery goes better with this one. The nurse went over the normal paperwork and then tried to get a heartbeat. She couldn't find it. Man was I freaking out! I knew there was a baby in there. I know I hadn't had a period and got 5 positive tests. But they told me since I was still early on it might just be hard to pick up. So my mw comes in, goes over things with me and then asks if I want her to try. After a couple of minutes she finally finds it. 178 bpm! WooHoo! We do got a baby bakin in there. I went a couple days after this appt and got my bloodwork done. I'll find out my results on the 27th of July. P.S. Stu didn't go to this appt so I was kinda bummed. But I think he's thinking about going to the next one. |
| Appt: July 27th (14 weeks) |
| Things went well at this appt. The nurse was able to find the heartbeat which was 160. Baby was moving around and she had to search a little. They did a pap and mamogram. Measured my belly and did an internal exam and everything is measuring right on where I should be. The only thing bad was that I've lost about 5 lbs, but alot of that is from where I was sick last week. I also had probs gaining weight with eli, so we'll see how this one goes. I'm also supposed to try to get more water down, but thats almost a given to be heard. Oh and stu went to this appt. I was so glad. Him being there just makes me feel a whole lot better and more comfortable. |
| Appt: Aug 28th (18 weeks) |
| At this appt, went in and was told the midwife wouldn't be there. I have lost yet another pound since last appt, but thats ok. Babys heartbeat was 158 and my belly is measuring right on schedule. Nurse said it felt like I was carrying baby low. We also go to schedule our ultrasound for sept 6th at 10:45am! |

| So far so good, baby looks healthy. I'll know more at my next appt though. But as the tech was doing her measurments I kept looking for boy parts and never saw any. When she asked if we wanted to know the gender of this one or let it be a surprise we said we wanted to know. She said she was pretty sure it was a girl because she didn't see anything there, and I told her thats what I was thinkin. So yay! Eli is gonna have a little sister!! |
| Appt: Oct 23rd (27 weeks) |
| Ok I know I'm a little behind on this but I'm trying. This appt again midwife wasn't there. I've gained 4lbs though! Thats the most so far this whole pregnancy. Babys heartbeat was 140. My anemic, gestational diabetes, and urine tests all came back normal. Other than that nothing real exciting. Next appt in 3 weeks instead of 4 woohoo! Gettin close :) |

| Appt: Nov 30 (32 weeks) |
| Everything seems to be right on schedule. I'm measuring at around 33 weeks so only about 3 days off. Baby's hb was 136 and my blood pressure was fine. She said baby is definately head down with back towards my belly. Back in 2 weeks |

| Babys hb was 147. Got to actually see one of my midwives this time. My weight stayed the same so that makes a total of 4lbs gained so far. They're a little concerned about the protein in my urine. Got my script for the RH shot. Back in 2 weeks. |

| Babys hb 140, my bp was good. A lot less protein in my urine this time. Still measuring right on. She made a guess baby is around 5lbs right now. Back in 2 weeks and then i'll get my GBS test and first internal to check progress. |
| Babys hb 140, my bp was good. Still protein in my urine this time. Still measuring right on. Gotta get a NST(non-stress test) next week with it being the new year holiday and my work schedule I can't get in the office. She just wants to make sure baby is still alright. |

| Everything went ok. Stu went and kept getting excited when baby moved telling me to press the button. (NST - I had to press a button everytime baby moved just to make sure it was showing up on the monitors as well for about 20 minutes) |
