Kentucky Lake, Ky |
By the mid '90's Tim and I were looking for a lake to fish in the spring that was closer to home. We decided upon Kentucky Lake. This trip included the wives and while they had some fun in the sun we managed to slip out and do some bass fishing. Early spring rain had brought high water and difficult fishing. The lake level was falling about one foot per day. We observed the locals beating the banks with little success. |
After a few unsuccessful mornings and evenings fishing we decided to apply our Texas methods of finding some weed beds and fishing them with the black marabou jig. We located some weed beds on the main lake and used a 1/4 oz black 'bou' to fish 10'-12' down. We soon were in fish, and big ones at that! Once again the black marabou paid off! |
