Service Unit 33-06 and Girl Scouting

Service Unit 33-6 is made up of all the Girl Scouts and Troops in the 20878 zip code area (Darnestown, Quince Orchard, Muddy Branch, Kentlands, North Potomac, & Gaithersburg) We currently have approximately 499 girls registered in all different levels (Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette, and Senior). Girl Scouting is open to all girls from ages 5-17. Through a combination of activities and experiences, the Girl Scout program is committed to help each girl to:

1. Develop to her full individual potential
2. To relate to others with increasing understanding, skill and respect
3. Develop values to guide her actions and to provide the foundation for sound decision-making.
4. To contribute to the improvement of society through the use of her abilities and leadership skills, working
   in cooperation with others.
