My MST of the hentaiFree mission statement. Utena and Anthy from
Revolutionary Girl Utena will help with this MST.]

This section is called "Hentai Free." Why? Well, let me explain...

Hentai should not been viewed by those under the age of 18. It's not only
disgusting, but it's very disturbing as well. If you're older than 18 and
enjoy hentai, that's fine. However, if you help someone under the age of 18
see it, that's really sad. All sites with visitors under the age of 18 should
be hentai free.

Icz: Well of course hentai should not be viewed by children.  That's why all
those sites have warnings.
Utena: How can you know the ages of your visitors?  Many older people enjoy
series like Sailor Moon, Yu-Gi-Oh and Card Captor Sakura.
Anthy: And what constitutes as hentai?  Would site with fanfics that contain
lemon be hentai?  Would a Ranma site with screenshots of her topless be
hentai?

Hentai can cause lots of problems too. I've seen families ripped apart over
hentai, and I've seen the pain it can cause.

Icz: Oh.. so hentai is the source for all family woes.  I wish I knew that my
copies of Countdown and Temptation were the source of all the friction in my
family.
Utena: Pain?  What pain?  Sure it can be surprising to run into a hentai pic
but I don't see how it can cause pain.
Anthy: Pain because dealing with human sexuality is to harsh for her fragile
mind.

That's why I created Hentai Free. I want to help keep hentai out of the hands
of people under the age of 18.

Icz: Believe it or not people ages 13-16 should be able to read and make
their own decisions.  If they ignore the warnings it's their fault not the
webmasters.
Utena: A site has the right to put up the content of it's choice just because
you don't like something doesn't make it bad.

This is not the first project created for "Hentai Free." There have been
numerous ones in the past, but very few last very long. That's why I've
decided to take up this cause.

Utena: They don't stick around because they come off as arrogant know-it-alls
who are too embarrassed to say the word boobs.
Anthy: And the only people who use them are 12 years olds who can't HTML
anyway.

I know many people dislike hentai and don't like seeing it. I, personally,
hate hentai. The fact that it exists bothers me. What bothers me more is that
one can end up at a hentai site without even trying.

Icz: Yes!  Curse you human sexuality for making me want to see things I can
easily avoid.
Anthy: Which is why browsers have back buttons and programs like Adultcheck
and Adultbouncer.
Utena: Plus if you want hentai you have to look for it, it doesn't leap out
of the screen and kidnap you.

Therefore this project is to act like a form of protection here on the
Internet. If you own a website and don't have hentai on it, feel free to put
up a badge saying so. When someone comes to your site and sees the badge,
they can know that the site they're entering is safe.

Icz: Opposed to all those with Hentai content whose owners will come by and
kill the viewers family.
Utena: No they'll know how arrogant you are judging something you obviously
have no experience with.

If you like hentai, that's fine. To each their own. Just don't expose it to
minors. If you own a hentai site, please put up a warning page or something
that will give people a chance to escape.

Utena: It's not like the majority of Hentai Sites have warnings...
Icz: Because no honest, pure person would have any interest in hentai, and
you have to trick people to get them to view it.
Anthy: When a site is on the Internet it's exposed to everyone.  It's the
users choice what he or she wishes to view.

Final Thoughts.

Icz: Okay I do understand they want to protect children but they ignore the
fact that most hentai sites have tons of warnings and unless the kids have no
arms or ability read they can simply leave a site they don't like.
Utena: Plus they make it sound like every site with hentai content is some
horrible den of perversion.  They're just cartoons.
