Film Review: ''Viswanaathan Raamamoorthy''

1 / 4 STARS

DIRECTOR: RAMA NARAYANAN

ACTORS: VIVEK, RAMKI

ACTRESSES: VINDHYA, ROJA

MUSIC DIRECTOR: S.A. RAJKUMAR

STORYLINE:

Vivek wants to be a famous cinema director. So he takes wife Vindhya to Madras where his friend Ramki and his wife Roja live. Roja is an abusive wife TV drama starlet, and Ramki does all her work for her.

Roja's father dies, and states he will leave thirty lakhs to Ramki if he can "tame" Roja. He has one of his friends stay with Ramki and Vivek to see if Roja is really tamed. At this time, Roja is away during a drama filming.

Vivek has his own wife Vindhya act as Ramki's wife for the sake of the money.

COMMENTS:

Boring. There are very few good jokes, such as when Vivek mocks films like "Vaali." The rest of the movie is pretty much mind- numbingly boring with loud comedy from Kovay Sarala and the gang. Vivek, whose comedy knocked my socks off in "12B", is painfully out of his element here.

This movie is intended as a comedy, and it doesn't succeed.

NOTE ON THE MUSIC:

Extremely forgettable. I can't recall a single tune. Everything was pretty bad.

RECOMMENDATION:

Skip it.
