Want to impress that cute thing by your amazing knowledge of her past? Want to offer medical advice to dad's friend? Want to know what is the best career for you? Want to discover the answers to tomorrows test? Well Palmistry is perhaps the most loved, least understood astrological science in existence today. And while it still cannot claim to be able to predict tomorrow's test questions, its prowess as a tool to unravel the subject's mysteries stands unrivaled.

So what is palmistry all about? Well, its the science of the hand - or to be more exact - the science of the palm and the fingers. Like the PCs' have a memory and a log to determine the usage (or abuse) of its various components, our hands record our personality, experiences and likely future events. It is believed that this was built in to help man take stock of his progress, know what is working and then change accordingly. For example, a stock broker's hand might indicate that too much of speculation is not advisable during the period and he can therefore venture into government stocks, thereby minimizing his risk. In short, to an experienced palm reader, the hand is like a book written in plain English. He can read a hand like you are reading this column. Another fundamental belief palmists have is that humans possess the ability to look into the future, which is recorded in the hand. Which is why palmists are able to accurately predict you pots of gold or an impending danger down to the last detail. The prediction is however just a high probability of an event and heeding the palmist's advice will only lower risks or make you more open to opportunities.

Can anybody do this? Of course. Its a science and just like any other science, there is a little bit of fundamental theory to read. And depending on your interest, you can develop your interest to any level. And the academic reading must be supplemented by exercising your skills as much as possible. Possible "guineas" during the initial period of learning are parents, friends, brothers, sisters....anybody who cannot escape from you! You can then start reading strangers' hands and the experience of predicting correctly will improve your confidence, enabling you to make more accurate and higher impact predictions. And before you know it - you could be reading the hands of a presidential hopeful! Now that must have jump started you on palmistry, so good luck and happy reading!
