Wow, I'm lazy! LOL. I haven't written here in a LONG time. Well I don't really feel like doing a recap of almost 9 months so I will just say that things have been crazy. I have ONE whole semester of my MBA program under my belt and will be continuing in September. I have a month left on my lease which means I am apartment hunting. As you can see, I got a new car in February. :) I have been keeping busy with friends and stuff...took some trips to the city, saw Incubus, DMB, Sevendust, went to Ocean City last week, which was great as always....I'm psyched about everything coming up, let's hope I find an apartment in time!!
NOVEMBER 6, 2003!
Wow...you can definitely tell I've been busy over the past 3.5 months! I just visited my site to do a little updating and realize I have neglected this part since July. So, now I'm going to have to sum up what's happened in the meantime! I don't even know where to begin...maybe I will break it down by month to make it easier...
October flew by. We had some ups and downs, such as the loss of my cat, Pumpkin, which is very sad, but luckily that month is over and it's almost time for the holidays! Oh, Halloween was last Friday, and that was pretty fun (until the drive home - no need for details)....I went as a cop and Mike as a criminal.Check out the pics!
Started my grad classes (Financial Accounting, and Management of Change & Innovation). Moved into my apartment....lots of money spent on furniture, decor and whatnot, suffered a little homesickness, but I managed. Things are going well...
August was great. A lot more hangin' out with the SII summer crew, including a pretty sweet weekend in the city, and seeing RENT for the 5th time. We did some shopping in China Town, 5th Ave (Macy's, Henri Bendel), ate at Hard Rock, Caliente Cab Co, some little diner by 14th street, rode the subway a LOT, and went to China Club. Good times...I also found an apartment, which I moved into on September 8th. I'm loving it so far!

Well I finally have time to catch up! OK...well first of all, we got back last weekend from yet another SWEET vacation in Ocean City, Maryland. Check out the pics to see what I mean! We pretty much did a lot of the same stuff we always do, but that's fine with me. This year was a little different though, because my friend Jessica & her family went too. They have been wanting to go for a long time, and they finally did! They absolutely loved it, and it's not hard to do. We have an RV, and we stay on Assateague Island, a barrier island right on the ocean, that is home to wild ponies that live on the island year round. These ponies roam freely around the island, on the beach, in the middle of the road, and even into people's tents, if they leave food out. They somehow managed to get into our cooler one night and eat my mom's cantelope. Not sure how, but it's pretty funny.
Anyone who knows me knows that I am not the camping "buff," so of course we did a ton of other things, mostly going into Ocean City every night. We played mini golf and went to the boardwalk a lot. Jessica and I even went to a couple of clubs (see pics). The day time was pretty much just lying on the beach from about 10-5...that, I can handle! It only rained one day, and that day was spent at the Rehoboth Beach outlets (aka SHOPPING) so you can bet I didn't mind the one day of rain! Overall, it was a GREAT week. Very relaxing. I already can't wait until next summer!!!!

Back from an awesome night in Lake George! A group of buddies from work (SII) rented a cottage at Lake George (upstate NY, in the Adirondacks for those of you who don't know). It was REALLY hot out, but we had an awesome time. It was James, Chris, Tony, Heather, Jen & I. We had dinner at a pretty cool restaurant, out on the deck right on the water. We sorta saw fireworks but they were about 9 miles away so we didn't really get the full effect. It's all good though. We then went back to our cabin, but only after Chris and I posed on a cannon at Ft. William Henry. Don't ask, just look at the pics. We then had some fun on the swings at the playground, and trespassed onto the closed beach to take a swim in the freezing cold water. It was worth it, though. We then retreated back to our cozy cabin for a friendly game of Asshole, some wine coolers, Merlot, and last but not least - the Hpnotiq. Oh yeah...Hpnotiq. Good stuff. LOL. After being read to by Jen (wink wink),we worked out the sleeping arrangements, went to sleep, and got up for breakfast the next morning. And boy was that breakfast great. Ask James about the Country Hayride special. Or whatever. Or maybe Heather would like to tell you one more time about how sticky the table was. LOL.

Jerilyn, Stephanie, Heather and I went to the Rock the Mic concert @ SPAC. Fabolous, Missy, Busta Rhymes, 50 Cent & Jay-Z were there. They all rocked, except for Fabolous who was on stage for no longer than 10 minutes and had no set, dancers, lights, or anything. Disappointing. But the rest of them made up for it...Stephanie and I even got to touch Missy as she walked by our row. I know, not a HUGE deal, but we think it's pretty cool. It was REALLY hot out, but luckily we were inside, with GREAT seats, so it was sweet! Complete the night with a staged 50 cent/some kid in the audience rumble, and you have your classic Hip Hop show. LOL. Gotta love hip hop. Really.

Went to see my 10th DMB show in Darien Lake, NY. It's sad to say, but I really don't have much to brag about here. The venue sucked, as in, the floor has almost no slope, so the entire floor is at the same level, even all the way in the back. The acoustics aren't great, so when the crowd is cheering and going on, you can't hear the performance. Not even gonna mention the 2 and a half hour wait to get out of the parking lot. Well, I guess I just did, but whatever. Dave rocked as always and I'm glad I got to see the show, but if I were to rank this show out of the 10 I've seen, this would definitely be #10. 11 and 12 will be at SPAC in August, and they are sure to rock, as always. Let's not rush the summer away, though, cuz that means back to school for me!

Got back at 5:30 a.m from Ithaca, NY...My cousin Jerilyn, my friend Erin & I went out there last night to a bar/club called The Haunt to see my cousin Greg's band, Pile of Heads I haven't ever really been a huge fan of the Heavy Metal/Industrial/Punk style of music, and I'm not just saying this because my cousin is the drummer, but these guys ROCK! We had such a great time last night! The whole entire night was an experience, from the drive there (did you know there's a town called Triangle in New York?? We didn't). We wouldn't recommend driving route 206 if you don't absolutely have to, unless you enjoy the smell of "coyote pee," skunk, and compost for about 30 miles. All that aside, though, once we arrived in Ithaca, it was all good. We got "back stage" access and got to chill with the guys before the show. The other bands who played were also back stage, and we got to see the strange, definitely-on-acid-or-some-other-drug lead-singer of another band paint his entire face, chest and arms with blue and black paint. Not sure what he's trying to express with that, but it was a sight. I brought my camera but unfortunately didn't take pictures this time. There was too much excitement going on, as well as a little too much drinking. The Bass guitar player did take a liking to me though, and promised me that when they become big, I will have my dream apartment in New York city, as long as he can stay there, cuddle, and eat french toast" with me. LOL. I never thought I'd hear a bass guitar player of a heavy metal band say "oh my God she has her toes manicured with french tips..." LOL again. Complete the night with a REALLY annoying "21" year old (in quotes because she didn't look a day over 12) "groupie" coming back stage and annoying the hell out of us, while trying to look cute for the band, and me locking my keys in my car 10 minutes before we were going to leave. The guys told me I may be able to make their web-site, which would definitely be a sweet experience. They're not gonna be having any more shows right now, because they're going into the studio, but I will be sure to spread the word around about them, because they are really talented and definitely have the potential to be BIG.
In other news, I'm finally going back to school! I got accepted to Sage Graduate School, and will be starting in September! I will be going for my MBA, with specialization in Human Resources. Not sure where I'll go with it, but with any luck, I'll be able to stay at Schenectady International, where I'm working right now. Aside from working, not much else is going on. I am trying to get my act together and get my own apartment, hopefully before school starts. Next Friday, Suzanne and I are going to Darien Lake to see DMB. This will be my 10th show, and my 11th (and maybe 12th) will be in August at SPAC. 4 weeks from today I'll be leaving for Ocean City, Maryland. Well that's all for now. I will keep you updated with pics and stories as things happen!
