SUBCUTANEOUS
POETRY
THAT GETS UNDER YOUR SKIN
New poetry
journal scheduled to launch in 2007 is now accepting submissions for
its inaugural issue. Our mission is to
develop and maintain an accessible literary journal for the publication of well-crafted
poems that stand as examples of depth and artistic integrity. We wish to encourage both emerging and
established artists in their endeavors.
For now, poems
of any reasonable length are being accepted.
There is no reading fee for regular submissions. Please send no more than 3 poems at a time in
a thirty-day period. If we like your
initial submission, we may ask to see more. We will only ask for one-time (preferably first-time) electronic rights, and the understanding that if you are published in our online journal, your poem(s) may be included in a future print edition. Paste poems into body of e-mail. If poems are long and you want to send
submissions as separate e-mails, please put artist’s name and 1 of 3, 2 of 3,
etc. in subject line. Sorry, attachments
will not be opened.
Currently
putting the last touches on website design, and trying to garner funds so
artists can be paid even a token amount for their talents. For now, can offer
publication on site with short poet bio, possible inclusion in a future print
edition, and undying gratitude for giving a fledgling journal a chance.
Subcutaneous is a poetry journal dedicated to words
that get under your skin. Do more than
scratch the surface. We prefer you cut
right to the dark corners of your psyche.
Please send submissions pasted into your e-mail to subq_editor@yahoo.com.
