My night started out, very boring as I was sitting at home trying to decide what the hell I wanted to do. I'm thinking, I still have to take pictures, so I might as well go to the show (my friend canceled on me - she's got some pretty bad ashma and hasn't taken her meds in a while . the fireball is a very smoky place (she's allergic to smoke). i understood why she didn't want to come along). So I get there at like 6:30 and Hero's Drive is setting up. I get myself a large mocha and watch, because what the hell else am i gonna do? I didn't know how Hero's Drive would be, but unfortionatley they are hardcore/metal crap that I hate with a passion, almost as much as I hate snow! So as soon as they start screaming.. I get this huge headache.. The worst part: there's 2 people screaming, ugh.. I hated it. There was one good part though, well not good, but decent, something I wouldn't mind. The tall skinny blonde kid on stage playing the guitar had a little backing vocal part that I liked.. I think he should have sang, but that's just me and I hate hardcore. Next came up Dying Midwestern.. *sigh* a very good emo band. Ya know an emo band when each member is wearing another emo band's shirt.. oh and all the alkaline trio stuff they have. They had some nice, long songs, that I didn't mind. I get distracted easily though, when people kept coming in, it was hard to keep my attention on them, so I guess you could say they were a bit boring. After Dying Midwestern came The Killing Bottle .. it was obvious the Killing Bottle was gonna play next cause you could see Colin running around like maniac. They played one hell of a kick ass show. They had some funny stuff going on, along with a bit of nakedness. They were extremely entertaining, not one bit of yawning around this band. This was the first time I've ever seen them play and I would go back for more anyday. (hey, i rhymed!).. I left after the killing bottle... but maybe I can get Brian to write up the rest. I really wanted to see The Beautiful Mistake and regret leaving, but oh well, too late. |
