Animal Crossing
Gameplay:     To start off, this game has to be one of the most unique, and addicting game sout there.  The basic premise is your character has just moved out of his parents house, and into a new town.  Basically you direct what goes on in the town.  You can do favors for neighbors, design clothes, go fishing, catch bugs, chop down or plant tress and flowers, and much much more.  I think the main reason the game is so addiciting is because of the variety of it.  Although it does take a few days(actual real life days, as the game works on the internal clock) before you can really get into everything.  You start off buyin a house from a local shop owner, tom nook.  This puts you in debt with him, so you must work off the debt.  You do a couple of tasks for him, and then you're free to do what you want.  And thats when the few days come in, unless you can trade with someone(I'll discuss that later) to get a few good items right away.
The feature that truly makes this game addicting is previously mentioned trade system.  How this works is you go to the shopowned, nook, and tell him the name and town of the person you want to send your item to.  Then he'll give you a password, you then tell the password to the person you're trading with, the he or she types it in, and gets the item.  Then he or she does the same for you.  You could spend hours, or days just trading with people.  Although the game was really meant to be played a little at a time,. over the course of a few months or even a year or more, as different events happen on different days, such as holidays, your birthday, stuff like that.

Control:     Well you've got pretty much the basics here.  A run button(or actually 3), an "accept" button, that carries out almost all your actions, and thats about it....besides i button to call up your ma.  The only problem i have, id that your character movements arent too precise.  I don't know how many times I went to dig up something and it took me 4 or 5 attempts to get my character lined up correctly, but other then that, very basic controls.

Graphics:  This is one of those games where the graphics take a back seat to the gameplay.  Its not that the graphics are bad, they just look they could have been done on a Nintendo 64.  They are real "kiddy" and I think they could have been a lot better.  A bigger map would have been nice too.  If this game has a fault, this is it.  Not the best, but the gameplay makes up for it

Sounds & Music:   Like the graphics, the sound effects are very kiddy, but they fit the type of game it is. As for the music, once again variety is the key.  The BGM actually changes every hour on the hour.  So if you dont like it one hour, next hour you've got something new.  Another cool aspect about the sound is that the animals in your town actually speak a "sorta-kinda, but very distorted" english.  Its pretty cool to hear all the different voices, and try to pick out what theyre sayin without reading it on the screen.

Overall:  A truly fun game, that has high reply value, but like I said, its not meant to be played for hours on end.  Maybe a half an hour to an hour at a time, then come back and see whats changed.  I think it's definately worth a buy, considering you get a free memory card with it!  although the game takes up a full card.....
