Barbequed Sweet Potatoes

Ingredients:
6 sweet potatoes (4 lbs)
1/4 cup unsalted butter
2 tbsp packed brown sugar
1 tbsp ancho or regular chile powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. On foil lined baking sheet, bake potatoes 1 hour, until just tender, let cool (can be roasted day ahead, refrigerate, then bring to room temp to continue).

Place broiler rack 4 to 6 inches from heat, preheat broiler.  Cut potatoes lengthwise into quarters. Arrange, cut sides up, on broiler-pan rack.

In small bowl, combine butter, remaining ingredients; brush over potatoes.  Broil 6 to 8 minutes, turning pan frequently.
