Summary:
During the Ming dynasty, the emperor ordered the "Chen" Wong Ye(Prince) and the new official "Lu Duan Wen" to enter the large royal grave where the first Ming emperor was buried to find a country and people management book: Tia Gun Tian Shu. The royal grave can only be opened together with three keys. One key was given to "Chen Wong Ye," the other to "Lu Duan Wen," the third key is buried somewhere about the royal grave. But after the conflict with the Japanese and chinese battles, both side were severely hurt and many dies. Chen Wong Ye suddenly did an about-face and became enemies with Lu Duan Wen. Thankfully, Lu Duan Wen was saved by a grave theif, Lin Jia Li. And because of that, they proposed a marriage bond between the two families.
Eighteen years laters Lu Duan Wen's daughter, Lu Jian Pin (Zhao Wei), having learned martial arts from her teachers, fought off many evils. She saved a Dong Chan's killer, Shia Lua Han(Nicky Wu) who was impersonating as a student. The passbyers, Nun Siao Lung and Siao Fou and the 2nd royal prince, Zhu Yu Lung met up with them, and everyone became friends.
Unbelievably, Lu Jian Pin (Zhao Wei)'s martial arts were very good, able to let sword and person become one. The emperor was amazed at her talent and commanded that she, Lu Jian Pin to marry the 2nd prince.
Lu Jian Pin didn't know that the 2nd prince was the man she already met, that he was Zhu Yu Lung. She who had always hated court life, fled home with her nanny to Sao Lin She. On the way there, she met up with Zhu Yu Lung. Yu Lung wanted to make her be touched by his love , and so went with her to Sao Ling. They also met Shia Lua Han. And so, the three of them all entered Sao Lin to become the martial students there together. There the three of them became the very best of friends. But closeby, the other Dong Chan's killer, Bi Duan Shia also rested around Sao Ling. Bi Duan Shia has always been in love with Shia Lua Han.
When Dong Chen's people relised that Lu Jian Pin has fled to advoid the marriage, the emperor was immediately told. Angry, the emperor ordered Lu Jian Pin's father, Lu Duan Wen to be killed, and so Lu Duan Wen was placed in jail. But with the help of Siao Lung's mother, Lu Duan Wen managed to escape.
Lu Duan Wen discovered that on Shia Lua Han's neck was a piece of jade. It was the same jade that Lu Duan Wen and the grave theif exchanged as the marriage bond item. Jian Pin relised that Lua Han was her fiance and was incredualbly happy. Zhu Yu Lung became depressed as he relised that he didn't have a chance longer. But unthinkably, Siao Lung's mother took out the second key. She was the grave theif's wife. Siao Lung was actually Jian Pin's fiance. The jade was taken by the man who killed her husband years ago. Even if Lua Han wasn't the killer, he was still somehow linked to the killer of her husband.
Finally, Lua Han had discovered the whereabout of the 2nd key. Lu Daun Wen was now scouted by the government and someone was out there trying to kill Jian Pin.
When they were involved in a fierce fight, Siao Lung and Jian Pin fell together into a freezing valley. There they met a high martial art man who helped them improve their martial arts.
Someone told the 2nd prince Zhu Yu Lung that he was son of traitor Chen Wong Ye. When he asked his mother, she took out the third key as evidence to prove her words.
Jian Pin and Yu Lung was getting married, ordered by the emperor. Shia Lua Han, when he got the news, raced to stop his loved one's marriage ceremony.
The emperor once again order Jian Pin's father Lu Duan Wen to be killed as the consequnce of her 2nd time going against his order.
The three keys have all being found. Jian Pin and the others finally opened the lock to the royal grave, getting out Tia Gun Tian She book. The people got into a fierce battle over it. In the end, Siao Lung went back to Sao Ling She and Zhu Yu Lung helped Jian Pin and Lua Han escape outside the country.....
