All I hear

you say to tell the truth
but all you preach are lies
you say you want a clean earth
but you still pollute the skies
you say you feel for us
but you don't really care
you say not to be greedy
but you don't even share
you tell us to be good
but your really bad
you tell us to be happy
but your really sad
you tell us to be different
but treat us all the same
you say we're all crazy
but your not all that  sane
you say to go to church
but I don't see you there
you say not to point
but you sit and stare
you tell us to be quite
but your very loud
you say to make your own path
but you still join the crowd
you tell us to give
but all you do is take
you tell us to eat heathly
but stuff yourself with cake
you tell us to stand up for things
but you rarely do
you say we know nothing
but you don't have a clue
you say you accept them
but you push them away
you say tv’s bad for you
but you watch it all day
you tell us to say no
but don't follow your own rule
you say to get an education
but you dropped out of school
you say don't be a hypocrite
but that is what you are
you say exceed your limits
but you don't go that far
you say to go outside
but you don’t even get up
you say don't drink from the bottle
but you don't use a cup
you say we are the future
but compare us to the past
you say love is forever
but know it’ll never last
you say things will get better
but don't expect a change
you say everything's disorganized
but you don't rearrange
you say stand up to fear
but all you do is run
you say adulthood's nice
but I don't see the fun
you say not to swear
but don't keep your own mouth shut
you say don't hurt yourself
but on your wrist I saw a cut
you say to be honest
but all you do is lie
you say life is a gift
but your waiting to die
you say the night is beautiful
but you hate the dark
you say our lives leave imprints
but I don't see your mark
you say you love the winter
but you hate the snow
you say its wrong to vandalize
but a rock I saw you throw
you say that readings good for you
but I've not seen you with a book
you say you were a good person
but at your life we must look
you say my music's bad for me
but you hear it too
you say the worlds peaceful
but know that isn't true
you say not to be prejudice
but I saw your frown
you say your equal to us
but give yourself a crown
