Thom Yorke, the creative genius behind Radiohead, was in the same boat Saturday as Johnson and Adams. Though the substance was there, he suffered from too many slow and single-tempo songs in a bare-bones and cold-sounding solo set. Despite the perception of Yorke as being so cutting edge, when he was alone on the Bridge School stage with a piano or acoustic guitar, his high, shrill voice was sharply similar to Young's. Though Yorke is a great songwriter and musician and was a clear crowd favorite, his set illustrated that the show was seriously lacking in personality and fun.
