Radiohead Single - Karma Police 9/10

The second single from OK Computer is due for release on Monday. It is available on 2 CD's and a 12" 'heavyweight vinyl'. The various formats include some new tracks and some remixes.

I have CD1 here which contains the tracks 'Meeting in the Aisle' and 'Lull' as well as the lead. The ever-catchy 'Karma Police' is one of the best tracks off OK Computer so they did well to choose it! As with many Radiohead the songs KP is quite orientated around Mr. Yorke's depressing vocals with some gentle guitar and the odd heavy bass. This is all a perfect combination and with the stunning lyrics too it is impossible to doubt this track. 'Meeting in the Aisle' is an electronica instrumental made of a little tune repeated many times over with backing drums and bass. It's quite an odd sound! 'Lull' is a short track with a hint of No Surprises, harmonious vocals, stunning lyrics as ever and drumming to match. Unfortunately it all ends too soon.

Stunnnnnnnning as they say. A top CD indeed, I still prefer the tracks with vocals though.
