--BOOK INFORMATION--
NOTE: I have these and other books for sale.
Trigun made its debut in Shounen Captain magazine (a Tokuma Shoten publication) in March of 1995 and ran until the magazine ceased publication in February 1997. These stories have been compiled into the following three volumes:

The same Shounen Captain stories above have recently been republished by Young King Comics (Shounen Gahousha) in a two-volume edition. The only differences between the new editions and the old editions are (1) new cover art, (2) new editorial manga by Nightow-sensei, and (3) two fat 700-yen books versus three less-fat 600-yen volumes (it's cheaper to buy the new editions). Otherwise, the contents are exactly the same.

After Shounen Captain magazine folded, Nightow-sensei added "Maximum" to the title and continued drawing the adventures of Vash and co. in Young King Ours magazine (a Shounen Gahousha publication). There are currently four compiled volumes of Trigun Maximum (information below), and Young King Ours, containing new installments of the story, goes on sale on the 30th of every month.

316 pagesThis hard-to-find volume is a special all-Trigun magazine issued to promote the Trigun anime and let fans see the ending of the defunct Shounen Captain's original Trigun serial.
Its contents include:
- Color pinup of Legato
- Color stills from the anime
- Character and story introduction
- Over 200 pages of Trigun manga (the same material reprinted in Trigun vol. 3)
- Gag manga about Meryl and Milly by Takako Kyuubi (apparently, Mrs. Nightow)
- Anime character sketches and story outlines
- Anime staff interview
- Color photos of an original Vash figure sculpted by Masaki Asai (sculptor of Kaiyodo's Vash figure)
- A short story about Wolfwood by Yousuke Kuroda (anime script writer), illustrated by somebody Sano (I have no idea who this is)
- The original manga "trailer" promoting Trigun in Shounen Captain in May '95.
