| *ANIME: Anime is basically cartoons from Japan. They differ from the animation of the US in several areas though. In Japan, they realise cartoons are not only for children so there is wide variety of range in content and rating. The characters in anime are usually well developed with long flowing plotlines in the story, not like here, where charcters don't learn from the last episode (or even remember it having exsisted). Anime characters also have large expressive eye and small mouths and do not to shy away from issues like nudity, sexuality, and controversial topics.
