About the SDOS

The Suncoast Dutch Oven Society is an authorized chapter of the International Dutch Oven Society based in Logan, Utah. We are a non-profit organization operating in the Tampa Bay region of Florida.

The Suncoast chapter works closely with Scouting to put on training workshops and seminars and they also do public demonstrations of Dutch oven cooking at various times and places throughout the year.

One of the ways that the chapter likes to encourage interest in Dutch oven cooking is by hosting a DOG (Dutch Oven Gathering). A DOG can be called a sort of cast iron potluck dinner where each of the participants makes a different Dutch oven dish to share with everyone.

Membership shall be open to everyone who are members in good standing of the IDOS and are active (paid) members in the Suncoast Chapter.
