Four WHEELING
4 Wheel Drive... Thank God! Driving on a paved road is great if you need to get somewhere in a hurry, or it's a long trip, but when I don't have to do either I keep my eyes scanning the side of the road for random dirt tracks leading off into the distance.
My Jeep has a beautiful coat of red paint on it. When I wash and wax her, the whole thing glows... but that gets old after a while! Shiny is good sometimes, but a true Jeep should have a thick coat of nasty mud covering every surface of it! I think that the max days of clean should be about 3 days, and then there needs to be signs of true use.
It should be illegal to own a 4WD vehicle and not take it off the pavement... and it should also be a punishable offense to put off-road modification on your rig and keep it a street warrior! So get some guts, turn off that plain old concrete road, and hit the mud, hills, snow, rocks... whatever!
Ok, enough of the soapbox! Here are some pictures of off-roading. The really good pictures are still coming (RUDY, SEND THEM TO ME!! We have pictures of Rudy and I both stuck in deep mud in the mnts. of WA), but these aren't half bad. Both Rudy and I have made several more modification to our Jeeps, so we are now doing more wheeling then these pictures show. I even took my Jeep out in the first 48 hours I got it, completely stock, and of course it died on me!! hahah... enjoy-
Oh yea, here's what I have: '94 Jeep Cherokee, 3.5" ProComp Lift, 31" BFG Mud Terrains, AMR wheels, Smittybuilt 3" nerf bars, K&N Filtercharger, upgraded lights (halogen motor cycle lights... they rock!), kick'in stereo w/ Alpine receiver, upgraded speakers, subwoofer, and a 1 million candlepower spotlight.
