Coosa Dun Good (Stella) joined Sun~Fire Farms in March, 2002. Stella is a 2001 AQHA/IBHA red dun mare. She can also be registered ABRA and have a successful future in all three associations.

These pictures were taken on June 20, 2002, during Stella's yearling year. She now stands 14.2 hands tall. She is not a big horse from front to back but she is very deep from top to bottom a and very well built. She is maturing into quite an elegant filly!

To see some raw footage of Stella moving, right click and save the files below. Keep in mind this footage was taken on a crisp winter day, at feeding time--and a tractor showed up to move round bales just as I started videoing. Needless to say, Stella's mind was elsewhere but hopefully this footage will give you an idea of her movement.

Stella made her show ring debut on May 27, 2002 at the KAHS/KSHA Memorial Day Horse Show. She took to the new sights and sounds like a pro and settled right into her stall between her travelling buddy Dixie and her barn buddy Charlie. She was entered in Reg. Quarter Horse Halter, any age/any sex, and Showmanship 18 & over. She did a perfect little showmanship pivot but had some trouble remembering where to set her feet. However, unlike most babies, she was perfectly content to stand still like she'd done Showmanship a thousand times before. And, she brought home a 3rd place ribbon in the QH Halter class! She placed higher than some very nice full-grown horses and I was quite pleased!

Stella earned year end awards in QH Halter and Palomino/Buckskin/Dun halter with KSHA in 2002. She also steadily improved into a nice showmanship horse, showing her quiet mind and sensibility. And above all, she gained fans at each horse show, because she's just so gosh-darned cute!

UP NEXT: Stella has been ground driven and is awaiting a new home where she will be loved and adored.
