Ch 1

Pacey Witter pressed play on the new answering machine his brother had bought while he sorted through the mail. The first message was from Jen, reminding him that he and Joey were supposed to come over tomorrow with Jack to watch a movie. The second message was from his mother reminding Doug about the policeman's ball next week. But it was the third message that got Pacey's attention.

"Pace? Doug? You there?” A brief pause ensued. “You’re not there. Damn. It's Miguel. Pacey I need for you to call me back as soon as possible. It's about Theresa." The message ended and Pacey picked up the phone and dialed Harmony.

"Hello?" The voice that answered the phone was gruff.

"Hey, Luis, It's Pacey. Listen, could I talk to Miguel?"

"Sure hold on." Pacey heard Luis call for Miguel and a few minutes later,

"Hello?"

“Hey, Miguel, I got your message. What's wrong with Theresa?"

"It's kind of hard to explain. Remember Ethan Crane?"

"Vaguely." The second he heard the name warning bells started ringing in Pacey’s mind. He was very concerned. His cousin Theresa had always been one of the only female relatives of his he could stand to be around. The only thing about her that had ever bothered him was her near obsession with Ethan Crane. "Yeah, I remember. What's wrong?" He looked down to see a newspaper. It was opened to the society section. Doug had circled a picture in it. The picture showed a happily grinning couple. Underneath a caption read, “Mr. and Mrs. Ethan Crane.” Oh yuck. Pacey thought. She's a blond moose. "Oh sh*t." He said. "The guy got married?"

"Bingo."

"How's she taking it?"

"As well as can be expected, considering he got her to plan the damn thing." Miguel answered angrily.

"Come again?

"You heard me."

"Why would she do that? She's been in love with the guy since we were toddlers." Miguel didn’t answer. "Hey, what does Luis have to say about this? I know how much he hates the Cranes."

"It's a long very convoluted story. Look the reason I'm calling is I was wondering if you could come to Harmony and see Theresa. I think you're the only who can come close to cheering her up right now. And as for Luis he's in love with Sheridan Crane though he won't admit it."

"I'll be there as soon as I can." Pacey assured Miguel. "Whoa, back up a sec, Luis found a girl to date him? With his personality?"

"I know. Are you gonna be alone or will Dawson be coming with you?"

"Dawson and Joey will both come, I bet. You know how close Jo and Theresa always were."

"Okay we'll make room and we'll see you soon." Miguel said.

"See you." Pacey said. He hung up and immediately dialed Dawson's number.

Gail answered. "Hello?"

"Hi, Mrs., I mean Miss, I mean Ms, ah, Dawson’s mom, is Dawson home?" Ever since the divorce he didn't know what to call Dawson's mom

"Yes he is. Hold on a minute. Oh and Pacey?"

"Yes?"

"Gail will be fine."

"Thanks." He blushed embarrassed.

"No problem."

A few minutes passed and then, "Hello?"

"Dawson, it's Pacey. How long would it take you to pack a bag for a trip to Harmony?"

"Harmony? What's going on?"

"Theresa needs our help."

"Gimme an hour. Is Joey going?" Dawson asked immediately.

"I don't know yet."

"Call her. You know she'll become agitated if Theresa's in trouble and you don't let her help."

"I know.” Pacey hung up. It felt vaguely reassuring to know he was doing nothing wrong by bringing Joey on this trip. He dialed the B&B.

"Potter Bed and Breakfast." Joey answered.

"Hey, Jo, guess who?"

"Ghandi?" she teased.

"Yes Miss Potter? Can you hurry up? Calls from the other world cost a fortune." He grinned. This banter felt more normal than anything had in a long time.

"What's up Pacey?"

"Remember Theresa?"

"Your cousin? Of course I do.” Joey grinned, “When we were little she used to help me beat you up."

"Thanks for the reminder. Think Bess would let you go on a little road trip to see her?"

"If it was important, sure. Why?"

"Ethan Crane got married and Theresa planned the wedding."

"I'll be ready in half an hour." She promised grimly.

"Ok. Hey fair warning. Dawson's coming with us."

"Ok, thanks." Joey said. "When are we going to tell him about us?"

"I don't know Jo. Maybe after we help Theresa with her problems she can help us with ours."

"Yeah, maybe. She always was a schemer and a dreamer as Dawson put it. He wanted to make a movie about her, when we were little."

"I remember. She said, 'Not till I'm rich and famous Dawson and then maybe I'll let you'."

"He said that when he was a rich and famous movie director she'd beg him to do a movie about her. It started an argument and none of would talk to each other for the longest three days of my life.”

"Hey I'm gonna go pack and you do the same." Pacey said.

"OK. I'll see you."

Joey Dawson and Pacey are in the car, on the way to Harmony. Pacey is driving, and Joey is navigating, or trying to. "Did you tell Doug you were going?" Dawson said as Pacey pulled out onto the highway.

"I left him a message." Pacey said. “He'll understand. Even he likes Theresa. OK, Jo, which way do I turn up here?"

"Ummm...." Joey frowned at the map. "Left."

"You sure Jo?" Dawson asked.

"Dawson, I can read a map. We should turn left." She said, more firmly.

"You're in charge." Pacey said as he signaled and made the turn.

Dawson sighed. "Do you know any more about what happened to Theresa?" He asked.

"She planned Ethan Crane's wedding." Joey said giving him the version she knew. Knowing Theresa there was more to it but they'd find out in time.

"Is he still alive? I know how..." Dawson searched for a word, "Protective Luis can be at times."

"Yeah protective to the point of being neurotic." Joey snorted.

"Luis sort of can't say anything."

"Why?"

"According to Miguel he's got the hots for Sheridan Crane."

"You're joking." Joey said. "This is wackier than a soap."

"Yeah All My Cranes." Dawson joked.

"As Theresa's World Turns." Joey said.

Pacey tried to laugh, but it was clear his mind was on his cousin. "So, how's your other cousin Liz?" Joey changed the subject.

"Liz-bit? I don't know. Last I heard from her she was head over heels for some guy named Max."

"Max. Max, the name sounds familiar. Wasn't there some guy named Max Evans who used to hang around her a lot that summer we visited Roswell?" Joey tried to remember.

"Yeah he had that friend Michael that used to look like he was bored out of his mind all day." Dawson said.

"And that sister. Isabelle, right? She was gorgeous." Pacey sighed melodramatically. Joey felt a stirring of jealousy.

"Oh yeah I remember her. Although I always liked your cousin better." Dawson said appreciatively.

Now Joey felt ready to go out of her mind.

"Course Joey was the one who got all the looks." Pacey said slyly.

"Teen male hormone overload." She said. "I don't think I want to be in this small enclosed space with you two for the next three hours."

"We'll stop Jo." Dawson promised.

"You better."

In Harmony, the three teens have just arrived at the Lopez-Fitzgerald establishment. "Should we knock or just go in?" Joey asked.

"Let's just go in." Pacey suggested. "I mean, we're family."

"You're family." Dawson said.

"Speak for yourself. I've been calling T's mom Aunt Pilar forever." Joey said.

"And you two are my family." Pacey said, the simple words eloquently describing his feelings for them both.

"Let's go in." Dawson suggested after smiling at his friend. Inside they heard a huge noise coming from the direction of the kitchen. It sounded vaguely like a mixture of crying, screaming, and moaning.

"Theresa?" Pacey shouted. "Aunt Pilar? Luis, Miguel, anybody home?"

"Pacey?" someone called. They all raced inside.

"Yeah, Theresa, is that you?" He asked, bewildered. The voice sounded vaguely like Theresa’s but instead of being sprightly and happy, it was listless. Dull

"I'm in here." Theresa answered from the kitchen and Pacey walked in followed by Joey.

"Theresa?" Pacey looked around. The kitchen was a mess and as he looked at his cousin he realized she was bleeding from her arm.

"Oh my God. We have to get you to the hospital." Joey said

"I'm fine. It's just a cut." Theresa said dully. "Pacey?" The girl's eyes seemed to light up slightly. "You came."

Pacey sighed as he pulled his cousin into his arms. "Of course I came. It's gonna be alright Resa." Theresa started to cry softly. "Now how did you get that cut?"

"I-I don't know. I was making something and the knife slipped and the next thing I knew I was bleeding." She babbled. Dawson stepped back slightly. He knew there was nothing he could do but watch. Joey watched also, hating the helpless feeling welling inside of her.

"You're a mess." Pacey said gently. "Joey, why don't you go get me some water and a washcloth? And bandages. We'll get you cleaned up in no time." He promised Theresa.

"What can I do?" Dawson asked.

Theresa smiled slightly. "Hi Dawson."

"Hey, Resa." He took it as a sign that he could come closer. He laid a comforting hand on her back. "You ok?" What a moronic question! He thought. No she isn't ok.

"Dawson go call my cousin at the Youth Center. I think the number's by the phone." Pacey said softly.

"No, don't call Luis!" Theresa said desperately. "He's so proud of me for getting over Ethan. Don't call him. Please, don't." She begged, tears flowing faster.

"OK calm down Resa. What about Miguel? Can we call him?"

"Miguel's on a date." She took a shaky breath. "It's the first time he let me be by myself since the wedding. He deserves a fun time today. Before you ask Mama's at work. I'd rather Ethan didn't hear about this." The way she said his name, with such love, and such hurt made Dawson marvel. "Isn't it enough that you're here for me? You will take care of me. I'll get better." She said, trusting like a child that it was true.

Pacey pulled his cousin into his arms again and held her as tight as he could without hurting her. "We'll take care of you Resa. Promise." He whispered softly.

Joey came back in with the warm water, soap, washcloth, bandages and a large chocolate bar. "Hold still." She said gently. "This might sting a bit, but when it's over you can have the chocolate bar. And you don't have to share it with either of these two if you don't want to." She tried to lighten the mood in the tense room.

"I missed you Jo." Theresa said with a small smile.

"I missed you too." Joey said. "Hold out your arm." Theresa did so. "Now I want to hear all about this girl Miguel's dating."

"Remember Kay Bennett?"

"Mmhmm. Noah's little sister."

Theresa nodded. “That’s the one.”

Joey's jaw dropped. "You're kidding."

"Nope. First he was dating Kay's cousin Charity but then Charity decided that she was going to become a nun and Kay helped Miguel through his pain and he realized he loved her."

"No." Joey shook her head.

Theresa nodded, showing her first sign of true emotion in the little smile playing across her lips. "I was just as surprised as you are. But you called it, all those years ago when you said Kay had a crush on him." She frowned. “I don’t know how you knew, but you did.” She looked at Dawson. "You owe me ten bucks by the way."

"Oh man I can't believe you remember that." Dawson griped as he dug out his wallet.

“I remember everything about the times we’ve spent together.” Theresa said softly. She winced as the soap stung the cut.

"What is this about?" Pacey asked, feeling a little lost.

"Years ago Dawson bet me that Kay and Miguel would never get together."

Pacey grinned. "What about Whitney? Anyone special in her life?"

"Yes but she won't admit it."

"Tell me if this is too tight." Joey began to wrap the arm gently. "Who is it?"

"A guy named Chad Harris. It feels fine Jo."

"I don't remember anyone named Chad." Pacey frowned.

"He's new in town. Showed up late last year."

"Oh." There wasn't much else to say. "Heard from Liz-Bit?" He asked.

"No not lately. You?"

"No, not really. Last I heard she was head over heels for a guy named Max." Pacey supplied.

Theresa started to unwrap the chocolate bar. Dawson noticed they were the same color as her eyes. "Yeah, she said that kissing him was amazing. Nearly magical even. Like looking into his soul." Theresa affirmed.

"I know the feeling." Pacey said softly.

Joey noticed Dawson staring and poked him. "Stop drooling." she hissed softly.

Theresa looked at Dawson. "You can't have any." She said playfully. "It's all mine."

"What?" He jumped, guiltily.

"The Hershey’s." She waved it in his face. "You've been drooling over it since I unwrapped it. But it's all mine."

He laughed a little shakily. “Oh.”

Pacey laughed softly. He knew his friend wasn't looking at the chocolate bar.

The phone rang sharply.

"I'll get it." Theresa said. Picking it up she said, "Hello?" She frowned. "Pace, it's for you."

"Me? Who is it?"

"It's Doug, and he sounds upset."

"Oh, great." Pacey said as he grabbed the phone. "Doug? What's wrong?"

Dawson said. "I knew you should have told him in person."

"Told him what?" Theresa asked.

"Nothing." Joey said quickly.

"Whatever." Theresa rolled her eyes.

"Doug, slow down. What about Maria? And Liz-bit?"

Theresa’s attention turned to Pacey, as did Joey and Dawson's. "Pacey?"

Pacey motioned for them to wait a moment as he listened to his brother. Great, both his favorite cousins were in trouble. Glancing speculatively at Theresa he thought This could be just what she needs. Resa's always at her best when she's sticking up for someone in trouble. "Ok, can you give me her number?" He wrote something down on a piece of paper. "Yeah, I'll call to see what's wrong. Yeah, I'm here safe. Yeah, I'll tell Resa you said hi."

"Hi Doug." Theresa called.

"Hear that, she's fine." Pacey said. "Yeah, Joey's here. No! Dawson's here too." Pacey sounded defensive. "I'll do what I can. Bye." He hung up. "Guys, we might have another problem." He said grimly.

"What's up?" Joey asked.

"Is it Liz-bit?" Theresa asked.

"I don't know." Pacey said grimly. "Remember her friend Maria?"

"The blonde who liked to sniff oils, right?" Dawson said.

"Dawson." Theresa poked him. "That's not very nice."

"Yeah, we remember. Why?" Joey asked quickly.

"Well she called Doug and told him that there was something seriously wrong with Liz-bit."

"Like what?" Theresa asked, worried.

"She only said she's going to need some familial support getting over something big." Pacey reported.

"Oh, God, her too?" Theresa asked. "Are we Fitzgerald's marked for heartbreak?"

"So, call and ask what's up!" Joey suggested impatiently.

"I've got a better idea." Pacey said. "You know if we call she'll say that nothing's wrong even if there is. So why don't we just hit the road and go see her?"

"All the way to Roswell?" Theresa said.

"Lemme call Bess and tell her." Joey said.

"Then I'll call Mom." Dawson added.

"Wait a sec." Theresa said.

"What?" Pacey asked.

"A road trip is just what we need." Pacey and Joey said at the same time. They glared at each other.

"Don't you think we should at least give Aunt Nancy and Uncle Jeff some warning before we swoop in on them?"

"We'll just go pick Liz up, kid-nap her so to speak. You know how close Aunt Nancy and Uncle Jeff are to her. They'll be able to tell something's wrong. The best thing for her will be to get away for a bit, you know? She doesn't really like it in Roswell that much anyway. The only thing there for her is family, and we could be her family for a while, you know? Summer's coming, she could finish the year at Capeside. So could you come to think of it." Pacey suggested.

"That's a great idea! We'd love to have you around Resa." Dawson said, just a little too fast.

"A change of scenery would be nice." Theresa admitted. "I'd have to ask Mama though."

"So ask." Joey said.

"I will." A little bit of Theresa's natural bubbliness returned.

Joey grinned. "We can have sleepovers and campouts. It'll be just like old times." She promised.

"Remember the time we pushed Pacey into the creek?" Theresa started to giggle.

"And he took both of us with him?" Joey added.

"Or when we messed up Doug's room and blamed it on Dawson & Pacey?" Theresa smiled. "Liz-bit came up with that one."

"You guys did that? I thought it was Will." Pacey said in mock outrage. "Do you know how long I was grounded for that one?"

"Yeah me too." Dawson added.

"Yup." Joey grinned saucily. "We were also the ones that 'accidentally' threw most of his CD collection into the Creek."

"Poor fish. Swimming around pictures of divas." Theresa laughed.

"That's a good sound." Pacey said.

"What?"

"You laughing."

She blushed. "I had forgotten about that." Theresa said about the CDs. "But I was so glad I didn't have to hear the Rocky soundtrack again. I think I would've jammed that thing where the sun don't shine if he had played it at five am during his work out just one more time." She shook her head.

"You and me both." Pacey muttered. "Why else do you think I slept at Dawson's so much?"

Theresa giggled. Just then, a blond woman ran into the kitchen. She stopped abruptly. "Oh, I'm sorry Theresa, I didn't mean to interrupt." The woman was blushing.

"It's ok Sheridan." Theresa said. "If you're looking for Luis he's at the youth center."

"Thanks. I didn't know you had company or I would have knocked."

"Oh right. Sheridan this is Joey Potter, Dawson Leery, and my cousin Pacey Witter."

"Hello." Sheridan eyed the guests with interest. Luis didn't talk much about his family other than Theresa Miguel and Pilar. "How are you two cousins?" she asked.

"My dad and Pacey's mother are brother and sister." Theresa explained.

"It's nice to meet you." Pacey said.

"You too." Sheridan smiled. "Luis didn't mention you had any family in the States. I thought everyone was in Spain."

"Mama's family is. But Papa has two sisters. Pacey's mom and our cousin Liz's mom who lives in Roswell." Theresa said.

"Roswell? Like in the place the aliens landed? That Roswell?"

"That Roswell." Pacey affirmed.

Sheridan nodded. "I guess I don't know your family as well as I thought I did Theresa." She frowned slightly. "What happened to your arm?"

"Oh I was cutting something and the knife slipped but Joey patched me up very well."

"Oh." Sheridan nodded. "I haven't seen you up at the mansion since the wedding Theresa. Not that you don't deserve a break, but Ivy's falling apart without you. Try to get back up there as soon as you can." She said, clueless as to why Theresa hadn't been up at the Crane's.

"Actually Sheridan are you going back to the mansion? Cause if you are I wanted to talk to my mother and then Mrs. Crane about something. And if you don't mind I'm bringing Dawson with me."

"Oh? Is something wrong?" Sheridan asked concerned. Theresa was acting very differently.

"Actually, I'm taking off for the summer." Theresa said. "I start college next year, so my cousins, and a few friends and I are taking a road trip. Sorry Sheridan, I was sure you heard."

"No I hadn't heard that. Does Ethan know? He's been asking about you."

Theresa turned white. "He has?" She croaked.

"Yes, Theresa, what's wrong. You look like you've seen a ghost!" Sheridan exclaimed.

"Resa, sit down." Joey said persuasively. "You lost a lot of blood with that cut. I'm sure that's why you feel faint." Theresa looked at her gratefully. Dawson hovered at her side protectively.

"I'm fine." Theresa said softly. "On second thought Pacey why don't you take the death trap up to the Crane mansion and pick Mama up? That way Luis won't have to go out of his way to get her later and she'll be home faster especially if your driving is anything like I remember it."

"Funny Resa." Pacey said with a smile. "I think once we get to a beach you're going in the water."

"Only if you come with me."

"We'll see about that." Pacey said.

Theresa smirked, or tried to. "Jo, why don't we go up to my room? We can catch up on the news. Dawson can get Sheridan to the Youth Center." The message was clear, 'Get out.'

"Okay." Joey agreed. She and Theresa went upstairs and shut the door. Before Joey had time to sit down Theresa asked,

"So Pacey finally got up the nerve to make a move on you, huh?"

"What?" Joey asked. "You knew he liked me?"

"Only since the fourth grade and I've gotta admit for a while there he gave up especially when he was going with Andi and you were with Dawson, and then Jack, and then Dawson again but I see he finally went with his instincts."

Joey blushed. "Dawson doesn't know yet, and we're not sure what we're going to do yet, so keep quiet, k?"

"My lips are sealed. So tell me is Pacey a good kisser?"

Joey's lips curved into a smile. "Very good."

"Good. Make him happy Joey. He deserves it."

"So do you." Joey said.

"Thanks." Theresa trembled a bit.

"You want to tell me what happened with Ethan?" Joey asked gently.

"Long story short? We slept together, he wanted to forget it, and went on to marry Gwen."

"I'll kill him. I'll take Luis' gun and shoot his dick off." Joey said vehemently.

Theresa laughed shakily. "Please don't." She said. "Luis doesn't know. No one does, except you. I think Mama suspects, but she hasn't said anything." Theresa put a hand on her stomach gently. "The sad thing is I'm almost glad it happened. If I had it to do over, I doubt I'd do anything differently. ‘Cept maybe get Gwen out of the way." She started to laugh and cry at the same time.

Joey wrapped her arms around Theresa and let the other girl cry. "It's gonna be okay you know?"

"Just keep telling me that."

Pacey knocked on the door to the Crane mansion and waited for a response.

"Yes can I help you?" Ivy Crane asked as she answered the door.

"Hello." Pacey said awkwardly. "I'm here to pick up-," He saw his aunt and grinned delightedly. He had always adored Pilar. "Aunt Pilar!" He shouted.

"Pacey?" She smiled. "Oh, heavens, you're a sight for sore eyes." She rushed to hug him.

"I'm so glad to see you." he said returning the hug. "How are you?"

"Pilar?" Ivy said from behind.

"Oh, Mrs Crane." Pilar blushed. "This is my nephew, Pacey Witter. Pacey, say hello to Mrs. Crane." Pacey nodded. He couldn't shake the feeling that there was something about her that seemed... Familiar... somehow.

"Well I didn't know you had a nephew." Ivy said. "And a handsome one at that. How do you do Pacey?" She said shaking his hand.

He smiled. "Good thanks." He was unsure of himself. Even after all Andi had taught him that was it she reminded him of Andi somehow. He looked away. "Aunt Pilar, I've come to bring you home. Resa and I have something we need to talk to you about."

"That sounds serious." Ivy frowned. "Is something wrong?" She was worried about Theresa. The girl hadn't been the same since Ethan's wedding. Ivy hoped Gwen wasn't right about Theresa having a crush on Ethan. But for some reason the thought of the two together didn't bother her as much as it should have.

"I'm sure it's nothing Mrs. Crane." Pilar said. "Pacey just let me go get my purse and I'll be ready."

"Okay Aunt Pilar." Pilar nodded and went further into the house.

"Pacey you're welcome to wait in the living room for Pilar if you wish. It was a pleasure meeting you but I must be going now."

"It was nice meeting you too Mrs. Crane." Pacey said as Ivy left and he sat down in the living room.

No sooner did he sit down than someone else came in. It was a handsome young blond man. Pacey knew immediately this had to be Ethan. He hated the man on sight.

"Can I help you?" Ethan asked.

"No, I'm just waiting to bring my Aunt home." Pacey tried to sound polite, for Pilar's sake. After all she had to see this guy every day.

"Your aunt?" Ethan said curiously. "Who's your aunt?"

"Pilar Lopez-Fitzgerald. You might have seen her, she's the housekeeper."

"Pilar's your aunt?" Ethan smiled. "She's such a wonderful person. I've known Pilar all my life."

"Yeah she is a wonderful person. So's her daughter."

"Theresa." Ethan's eyes clouded. "She's your cousin, right? She's one of the most wonderful people I've ever known." Ethan added.

"Yeah Resa's my cousin. But she's more then that. She's my best friend and I'd do anything for her." Pacey hoped Ethan was getting the unspoken message.

Ethan was pretty dense. He wasn't picking up on anything. "So would I." He said softly. "I'd do anything to make Theresa happy. She's seemed very down lately." Ethan tried to act like he didn't know why.

Pacey wanted to strangle the guy. Either that or get him to Capeside and throw him in the creek with a hundred pound weight attached. "Yeah that's why I'm here. To cheer her up."

"How will you do that?" Ethan asked, trying to sound innocent.

By getting her as far away from you as possible. Pacey thought to himself. "A little road trip to see our cousin Liz in Roswell, New Mexico."

"Oh. That's nice. Maybe a change of scenery will make her feel better." For some reason, even though he should've been ecstatic that the distraction Theresa provided would be disappearing, his heart was breaking at the thought of not seeing her.

"Pacey I see you've met Ethan." Pilar said as she entered the room.

"Yes Aunt Pilar I was just telling Ethan that I wanted to take Resa and go see Liz-bit." Pacey said to his aunt.

"Is that what you wanted to talk to me about?" Pilar was slightly dismayed. A part of her hated it when her children were far away from her But another part knew that was exactly what Theresa needed right now. "Of course, I don't have any objections. How's Elizabeth doing? And your family?"

"Dad and Mom are fine, so's Doug. But Liz-bit isn't that's why we're gonna go see her."

Pilar winced. "A boy?"

"Something like that. Maria didn't go into details."

"All right, when we go home I'll fix you some dinner you can eat on the road while you pack. Good-bye Ethan." Pilar said.

"Good-bye Pilar. It was nice to meet you Pacey."

"Yeah you too." Pacey said as nicely as he could as he escorted his aunt out of the massive house and to the truck.

"How is she?" Pilar asked the instant they were away from the house.

"She's bad Aunt Pilar. Real bad. I think she just needs out of Harmony in a major way and I think Liz needs the same thing only she needs out of Roswell."

"So it's Pacey to the rescue?"

"As always."

Pilar sighed. "It's almost summer, so I can't ay anything about school, but where will you go? If not Roswell or Harmony, where?"

"Capeside." Pacey answered.

Pilar nodded. "I know you don't hear this very often but Pacey you're a good man no matter what your father may say. Take care of my daughter and my niece."

"I will." Pacey swelled with pride, knowing that Pilar was proud of him.
