Liz was sitting on her rooftop, crying her heart out, again. It had been two days since she had left Max to be with his destiny. She half expected him to run after her. But, that didn’t happen. She hadn’t seen or heard from him in two days. It was pretty much confirmed that he wanted Tess. Liz was at her wits end. Hadn’t Max said he loved her? Didn’t he say that no matter what his destiny was her? Thank God her parents were out of town, she wouldn’t be able to stand all the questions. Suddenly a thought occurred to Liz..well not actually it wasn’t so "sudden. She had been thinking about it for awhile. "It’s time." She said quietly
Max watched Liz from his safe spot in the shadows. What is it time for? Max wondered as he watched Liz writing frantically in her journal. Then he saw her tear out the page and stick it on top of her journal, then get up and walk towards her room. Then she ran back and started at her journal for a few seconds then quickly write two more notes, then another note, but with this one she wrote slowly, more fluently, like she knew just what to say, and she wanted it to be perfect.
Liz put the four notes in the front part of her journal, one for her parents, one for Maria, one for Alex..and the last..that one was for Max. She got up and went to her room and grabbed the gun, that she stole from Kyle’s house yesterday, from her dresser. What was going on with her?
Max saw Liz come out of her room with something in her hand, was that a gun?!? Where did Liz get a gun? More importantly why did Liz need a gun? He saw her sit back down on the chair and begin to load the gun, her hands shaking, tears streaming down her beautiful face as she did this. Once the gun was loaded she looked up towards the sky.
"I love you Max" she said in barely a whisper. She only needed one bullet to do the job, but where to put it, that was the question. My head? No too big of a mess she thought. My mouth? No still to big of a mess. But where she thought. I know I'll just stick it different places and when it feels right, I’ll pull the trigger. Oh wait! She thought. One more thing. She got up from the chair to go back to her room. She wanted to die with a picture of Max by her side. So she went and got a picture.
Max watched in the shadows, horrified as he saw Liz trying out the different ways to end her life. Then he saw her run back into her room once more. What was she doing? He thought. He saw her come back out and stare at whatever she had in her hands for a few more minutes, she was crying even more now. Did he do all of this to her? He watched as Liz picked up the gun and pointed it at her heart. "Yeah..my hearts broken..seems sufficient." He heard her say.
NOO!!!!!! His mind screamed. I’ve gotta do something.
"I love you Max Evans always and forever.” Liz said. She went to cock the gun when she heard a noise off in the shadows, then she heard his soft, gentle voice.
"I love you Liz Parker, always and forever" he said.
"Max?" she asked into the shadows. "Is that you?" She asked making sure that she wasn’t hearing things
"Yeah, it's me." He said as he stepped from his spot in the shadows. He noticed that her beautiful brown eyes were red rimmed from crying. "Liz..please don’t" He pleaded as he approached her. When he got to where she was standing he took the gun from her hand. "Thank you." he said quietly.
All Liz could do was stare up into his eyes. "Yeah" She said just as quietly. Tears were still streaming down her cheeks.
Max reached over and gently wiped her tears away. Then he unloaded the gun and put the bullets in his pocket. "Just in case.." He said.
"Why did you save me Max?" Liz asked.
"I..I couldn't lose you again." He said "Liz, I love you, I always have, always will..you not Tess." Max couldn’t believe that he almost didn’t come tonight. "Don’t ever do that to me again Liz" he said tears forming in his own eyes at the thought of losing Liz forever.
"Where were you for the last two days Max?" Liz asked. "I..I..it's too much to tell...can I show you?" He asked. Liz only nodded. "Just do the same thing that you did before ok?" Again Liz only nodded.
***Max, Michael, and Isabel finding out that Tess was really evil.
*** Tess getting killed***
*** Max, Michael and Isabel going back to hear the hologram again***
***Them finding out that they were really supposed to pair with humans and that it was supposed to be Max/Liz Michael/Maria and Alex/Isabel.***
Slowly Max pulled away from Liz. "It work?" he asked.
"Yeah" Liz said. "Max I’m sor--" she said.
"Shh...its ok" he said as he put a finger to her lips. "Are we..?" Max asked uncertain of weather or not they were together.
"Yes..if..if you want to be." Liz said. In response to her question Max gently placed a soft kiss on her lips.
"Yeah" He said.
"I love you Liz Parker, forever and always." Max said as he stared down into her eyes.
"And I love you Max Evans, always and forever" Liz said looking back into his eyes. They kissed again and they both knew that when all is said and done they would always be together. Because after all...they were meant to be.
