The
Bus Ride
At what stage the team is formed in the group?
Bus journey Get up > get a rickshaw > pay the agreed fare > go to Bus stand
> be one of 50 in Bus > be one of 25 in Bus > Pay for ticket > Door Closes
> Journey starts > Bus breaks down > Driver and Conductor say nothing can
happen unless people push bus > some one tells only Men pus the bus children
and ladies stay inside > come out> push bus > some one tells Old man at sides
and young at the back > the situations are taken > then Someone tells we need
a communication system so .. Conductor blows whistle to guide when to push
the bus > People work together> Bus started> People get back > talks start
> they share their food > Again Bus breaks down > Conductor comes and just
shrugs his shoulders > Everyone laughs > People come out > Take respective
positions as before > Push > Bus again starts > after some time rech Destination
> People exchange business cards > People leave.

Volcano
A few Scientists were stuck on an active volcano .. two blinded, One lost
the hands(hangs tied behind back) , another lost the legs(legs tied) ,One
with one side paralyzed (a hand and a leg tied ), another one lost her voice.
(Could not speak at all) Together they struggle across a river of fire with
4 stones ( Big Oil Containers ) with one thatch bridge. 11 people to cross
the river and not one can get off to other side unless everyone is on the
stones

Till now you have fallen forward. Now try it backward .. and you must fall
like a stick

Auction
4 teams given 1000 RS each to bid for Skills and Values Correlation between
the buying behavior and special prize for one who bids for Sycophancy (negative
point) People getting stuck with more money then they spend. People paying
too high for a few things

10 Blinds and a leader
A group of 11 brave soldiers crossed behind the enemy lines and are caught
in a minefield only one can see the safe way. Rest all are blindfolded . 5
mats placed haphazardly on floor and 10 members to get across within 30 min

The Quick Artist
In at 90 seconds every person gets 3 words which he has to draw on board
while 6 of his teammembers guess the word

Rough Notes
- Knowing the right Answers do not mean success unless all of the team understands
and implements the answers
- The Most inactive members of the team hold the key to get the Winning edge
in competition It is by involving these people in the main stream that more
points can be scored (remember Rabbani /Dass/ Ish/Gupta )
- We must keep an eye on competition as winning is scoring just one more point
then what competition has scored. (rem the auction)
- Conflict within a group is good as then you need not search for the competition
within the group. Always take the people who stand against you .Take them
in Confidance.As they also have a fan following and can control the results
which you want. You may become a leader by majority (3 leaders one get 4 votes
/10 wins other with 3 votes each lose ) but it does not mean the people are
with you. Mostly People who do not talk are always a Problem .. you MUST get
them to talk and at least get a "PASS " from them if they don't
want to talk (Rem Nurul /Ashish / Anand cf to Vikrant / Ghalib / Kunal /Myself)
- Credibilty can not be established in the middle of plan it has to be established
first before you assume your role. (Even the right answers wont be accepted
if they come from person without a credibility)
- Peace time is preparation for war (establish credibility's
here)
- People do not want to work they want to have fun. Me in my zest for work
ruin them of the fun they might be having. (And they start shunning you becoming
useless )
- Changing your Goals (note that it is not Plan but Goal) in the middle is
like committing Suicide
- You need to have Personal Discipline / ResultOrientation / Knowledge of
competition/? for working in any company
- I put a lot of time in planning where others went ahead with implementation
You must learn to plan less and act more (others need to do the opposite)
- The task of sutradhaar must also know everything that is going on in the
Group
- Always Keep an eye on Time -Time is one bloddy resource
we can not create at all
- No matter how much low profile you want to remain .. you still affect the
environment and the environment does an effect on you .. the reverse is also
true .. The Sleeping members affect you .. and your energetic talks affect
them . People do not lower their psychological walls easily so you might have
to try a lot.
- In an environment things are either positive or negative they are not neutral
For e.g. : a fat body is negative and nothing can change this fact. You will
have to counter it with some stronger force or correct it
- Leaders ensure that the team members take individual roles and this reduces
the load form the leaders shoulders (as in MAT exercise each member could
have felt the mat and positioned himself )
- Your Ideas Have to be sold If you dont sell them .. EMPHATICALLY they get
lost
- I need to develop a whole lot in developing credentials - my weak point
- Our leaders were all Fit guys with Charming personalities Although they
were not necessarily the ones which were giving the best ideas or ensuring
that they were implementing them well .. (other people came to help them..
)
- I expect people to be dedicated to their work and
think that it is a problem if they are not. The matter of fact is that 80
% of people want to have fun Whatever you do it will be always 20 % who will
do the hard work. The only way to get over it is to ROTATE this 20% within
the 80% (Could have made team like Planning team / Impl team/ Time keeper
/ Notes taker)
- Leader should also see to it that few people do not hog the show or the
meek will never talk.
- Leader should try to do division of Labors (not trying to do everything
themselves)
- Leader should ask each and everyone before giving any verdict that concerns
the team Those who do not want to participate can say PASS but they must be
asked. (The problem really comes in the middle of the implementation of the
Plan when these silent people are the people who become DISINTERESTED and
may screw up the whole plan )
- When I want something I will have to want it without any doubt in my mind.
And the people will follow. (I am not good when I am doubleminded )
- There are Values and Skills that are necessary in the person (they all come
to you in linear progression of your career graph )\
- Where people with only Skills are arrogant , people with only Values are
frustration The best is a mix of these two

Conflict Mgmt system is not there in Group
Group can not handle failure Brain storming becomes Blame storming
Group does not have a commonly accepted protocol

- Only when all these stages are cleared can a group be termed as a Team

- My team wins and loses because of me If there has to be a change I know
of , It is my responsibility to take the initiative.
