Thank
You For the Food Grace
(Tune:
Michael Row Your Boat Ashore)
Thank You for the food we
eat, Alleluia
Thank You for the friends we meet, Alleluia
Thank You for the birds that sing, Alleluia
Thank You, God, for everything, Alleluia
Little
Skunk
(Tune:
The Doughnut Song)
Oh, I stuck my head down
a little skunk's hole
And the little skunk said, "Well bless my soul!"
"Take it out, take it out, take it out,
Remove it!"
Well, I didn't take it out,
and the little skunk said, "If you don't take it out, you'll wish you were dead."
"Take it out, take it out, take it out,
Remove it!"
Still I didn't take it out and the little skunk said,
"Pssssshhhhhhhh!"
I removed it... too late!
Juliette Low Taps
(Tune:
Taps)
On this day
We have come
From the North, from the South,
East and West.
All your dreams
Will live on,
Juliette.
Remember
(Tune: My Favorite Things from The Sound of Music)
Juliette
Low was the founder of Girl Scouts
She
founded Lowlands where girls had their campouts
They signaled with flags and they learned songs to sing
These were a few of their favorite things
Girls in
green dresses with badges on sashes
When they went camping they learned knots and lashes
Camping in winter and camping in spring
Girl Scouts are handy at most anything
When the
tents leak, when the wood's wet
When the fire won't light
I simply remember the founder of Girl Scouts
And everything's warm and bright!
Going to Kentucky
(Sing
in a circle with one person in the middle. The middle person "shakes it"
when the words are sung. During the last verse, she closes her eyes and points
around the circle and the person pointed to when the song is done gets to be
in the middle for the next go around!)
We're going to Kentucky
The old Kentucky fair
Where all the senoritas
Wear flowers in their hair
Oh Shake it shake it baby
Shake it if you can
Shake it, shake it baby
Shake it once again
Oh Around and around and around we
go
Where we stop nobody knows
Point to the East, point to the West
Point to the one that you like best!
Shake A Friend's Hand
Shake a friend's hand
Shake a hand next to you
Shake a friend's hand
While we sing this song
(Next repeat and substitute "Shake a friend's hand" with "Give a high five" or "Bump your friend's hip" etc.)
