Available Pups!

Welcome to Sunray Gerbils'  "nursery"!  Here you can find a listing of the pups and adults that we currently have for sale.  I live in northern Texas (D/FW area).  Please read the following information carefully!  If you are interested in any of these gerbils, feel free to e-mail me for more info and pics =)  Also, be sure to check out my new References & Comments page.

Price and Shipping: The gerbils are $9 each.  Sorry, I  can not ship.

Starter Kits:  I can provide a complete setup, along with two pups, for $60.  (Price subject to change depending on availability of items.)  The complete setup includes: ten gallon aquarium, lid, water bottle and hanger, food bowl, wheel, one bag of bedding and starter food (enough for about 2 weeks.)
For an additional price, I can include other items such as a nest box, toys, hay, etc.; just let me know what you want.  I make the starter kits when they are ordered, so if you want one when you come pick up your pups, please let me know at least a week in advance.

Children: I do not sell pups to childen under 10 (ten) years old, unless their parents are willing to take care of the gerbils and help the child in any way, including seeking veterinary treatment should the gerbil ever be ill or injured.  All children/teenagers living with their parents must have their parents' permission before adopting pups from me.

Registration/Pedigrees: All of my litters are registered with the American Gerbil Society, and will come with AGS pedigrees and Birth Certificates.

Other Stuff: I only sell gerbils singly if you have a lone gerbil and you are going to introduce them (by a split cage introduction).
If you are interested in any of these pups or have any questions, please contact me by e-mail. If you want to adopt a pup/pups, tell me a little about yourself, your experience with gerbils, why you want these gerbils, will they be bred or pet-only, etc.  My gerbils will go to approved homes only!
When you come pick up the pups you are buying, remember to bring a travel cage with you!  I find that the medium-sized Kritter Keepers work well for two adult gerbils; if you're getting a larger group, you may want to go with a large.  These travel cages are also important whenever you need to take your gerbils somewhere (like if you have to go to the vet) and as a place to put the gerbils while you clean their cage.

About Names: I do name all of my pups, for several reasons.  For one thing, this is very important so that I can keep accurate records.  If you want to change the name of the pup(s) you will be getting from me, let me know and I will change it to what you want.  After that, I do ask that you keep the same "official" name (the one that will be on the pedigree/birth certificate) throughout the gerbil's life - again, this is important for record keeping purposes.  If the gerbil is to be shown, bred, or sold, you should use/pass on the gerbil's official name, which includes the prefix "Sunray's", which signifies where the gerbil came from.  Of course, you can call the gerbil whatever you want, just as long as the official name remains the same.

After adoption: After the adoption, I do want you to keep in contact!  Just let me know how the gerbs are doing every now and then, and (if breeding), when they have litters, what colors, etc.  Of course, if you ever have any questions, feel free to e-mail or call me anytime!  I do have a life-time return policy; in case you are no longer able to care for your gerbils, or aren't satisfied with them for any reason, you can bring them back to me.

Adults

DWG's Moriardi, Sunray's Saul and Sunray's Samuel -
Mori is a beautiful 15-month old  Burmese male, with flashy white paws!  He looks like a siamese snowshoe cat, with his white boots.  Very cute!  As far as I can tell, the "snowshoe" pattern seems to be an actual new mutation.  He's a very sweet guy!  He's for sale with his two sons, Saul and Samuel, who are 7 months old and likewise very nice boys.  Saul is white, and Samuel is a Burmese who inherited his father's cute white boots!

Mori

Sunray's Evelyn and Sunray's Lorelai - these two beautiful girls are sisters, although from subsequent litters.  Evelyn is a 9-month old Light Colorpoint Slate, and Lorelai is an 8-month-old Lt. Pearl.  Lorelai is the more outgoing one of the two; she'll often quickly jump up on your hand.  Evelyn takes a little while to warm up, but once she does, she's a very sweet girl, not to mention absolutely gorgeous!

Sunray's Ryan and Sunray's Jonathan - these two boys are just 6 months old; they are Pearl and Light Pearl.  They seem to be following in their father's footsteps, and are becoming great big calm, easygoing boys.

Sunray's Esther, Sunray's Anna, Sunray's Hadassah, Sunray's Vashti  - these four princesses are just 4 months old; there are 3 Lt. Pearls and one (Esther) is a Lt. Colorpoint Slate.  All four are happily living together at the moment, but they could be separated into two pairs if desired.

Sunray's Cookie Monster and Sunray's Elmo - these two young boys are just 3 months old, so they're still basically just big pups.  They are very sweet and friendly; Elmo, especially, will quickly hop to your hand.  Elmo is white, and Cookie Monster is a burmese.

Litters
These are the litters that are ready to go as soon as you're ready to come pick them up =)

No new litters available right now.

Litters Available Later

These pups will be available once they reach 6 weeks of age.  If you'd like to reserve some, just let me know!

No new litters available right now.

Litters In Planning

These are litters I am considering breeding in the future, or mothers-to-be that are possibly expecting now. If you are interested in any of the possible offspring and want to reserve a specific color/gender, just e-mail me and I will place you on my waiting list.  Once you are on the waiting list, you will be notified when the pups are born, and will be kept updated on their progress.  People on the waiting list also get first pick on the pups.  (This means that if you are first on the list, you will be the first person to be able to choose which pups you want.)

No new litters planned at this time.
