I would like to attend at least three events this year with Gaucho, and give him some good experiences in the show ring.

For as long as I can remember, I have loved horses. Since I was a little girl, I bugged my parents to let me start taking rising lessons. Finally, after many years of convincing, I started taking lessons with Tanya Sundlie at Shadyvale Equestrian Centre. I loved my lessons so much, and would count down the days until the next one. After learning the basics, I began learning how to jump, which I thought was absolutely wonderful! However, after a few years, I wanted to ride more often. I started half leasing an Arab/QH, Smokey.

This was a great experience for me, as this was the first horse I had ridden that wasn't a lesson horse. After a year of leasing Smokey, I went on to leasing an appaloosa gelding, Nugget, and I attended a few fun shows with him. Later, I began leasing Tanya's horse, Beau. I really enjoyed riding Beau, and he taught me a lot. It was very difficult for me to stop riding Beau, but it was time for me to find a horse of my own. In June of 2003, Tanya told me about a Hanoverian/TB gelding that was for sale. She had been training him, and she thought he may be a good horse for me. So, almost immediately after she brought the idea up, I went out to see Gaucho. I fell in love with him right away. I could not believe that such a wonderful horse, like Gaucho, could end up being mine. After numerous trial rides, my parents bought Gaucho for me. I think that day was probably the best day of my life! I couldn't be any more happy with Gaucho. He has so much heart and such a great attitude. I have been working hard with Gaucho lately and he is learning very quickly. I am planning on taking him to a few clinics and numerous events this year. I hope to give Gaucho as much experience as possible. I am very excited for our future together as a team!
