Why Do You Ride With Tanya?
"First off, I feel she is qualified, and knows what she is talking about. She has been riding for many years, and has had many renowned instructors. Tanya has taken that instruction, and designed a program for her students that she feels covers the most important points from each trainer she has worked with. One thing I admire about Tanya is that she is always striving to learn more, and continues to take lessons herself on a variety of horses, so that she can continue filtering what she learns into her own teaching program.
Second, I enjoy riding with Tanya because she creates a fun environment to learn in. She is very encouraging, and
only encourages her students to do their personal best. She never pushes anyone to a level they are not comfortable at, and at shows, she encourages her students to have fun and stay safe, above all else. I have grown to respect her a lot because of this, and of all the intructors I have ridden with, I have never met one as supportive and encouraging in her teaching style as Tanya.
Athough I could go on, the last thing I will mention is Tanya's dedication to her occupation. She clearly loves teaching and riding, and it shows in the way she dedicates so much time to her students. I have seen her make many sacrifices over the years, just so that she could take students to shows, or not cancel their lessons. Tanya puts in unbelievable hours of unpaid overtime, especially at the shows and events she takes her students to. I only hope she realizes how much we all appreciate her, and value her for her loyalty to all of us."

"My daughters and I have been taking lessons from Tanya for about four years, and we love them. Tanya makes our lessons very interesting and fun. She has taught us many new skills, on the horse and off, and has mentored us through the exciting, challenging, albeit sometimes frustrating process of riding and training green horses. Under her tutelage, we have acquired the confidence and the skills to pursue our dreams of participating in various shows and competitions, at which she is always there
                     with positive support and guidance."

"...not only because of the encouragement and thoughtful ideas that she brings as a ridiing coach, but also because of the friendship that she offers as well. She challenges me to try my best and is always there to offer some advice."

"Tanya's positive attitude and constant encouragement are just some of the things that make her a fabulous coach. She has a great method of teaching that makes even a bad ride seem like you have made progress. Tanya's upbeat approach combined with her drive to help you meet your goals, whether they are competitive or not, creates a supportive atmosphere where students can progress at their own pace. Tanya instills not only good riding basics in her students but the knowledge to care for their horses, safety, and good sportsmanship. Her fun teaching style backed with her versatile knowledge of many disciplines makes her a great role model for her students. She provides many oppurtunities for her students to get to clinics and shows so that they can improve their skills and compete. Tanya has a ways of creating confidence in people that make them able to accomplish goals that they may have seen as out
of reach. There have been many times when her words of encouragement was the only thing hat got me through a nerve racking cross country course with focus and determination. However, I would have to say that the bast thing about riding with Tanya is how much fun we all have, whether it is weekly lessons or long road trips in a cramped truck as we head to shows. There never seems to be a dull moment, often returning with hilarious stories and memories- some of the best times of my life. Being able to have fun with our  horses is a big part of her philosophy and it is what makes being one of her students so reqarding. Tanya is not only a remarkable coach, but a friend and mentor."
