Ringo's All-Starr Band

Mohegan Sun Casino - 2/20/99

Ringo Starr and his All Star Band played two sold out shows on 2/19-2/20 at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville CT, which was his second pass through the state in under two years. This is the 5th incarnation of Ringo's All-Starr band. The current lineup includes: Ringo Starr (vocals/drums), Todd Rundgren (guitar/vocals), Jack Bruce (bass/vocals), Gary Brooker (keys/vocals), and Simon Kirke (drums/vocals). Todd returns to the All-Starrs from the 2nd lineup, and Jack, Gary, and Simon from the 4th.

The show consisted of a generous helping of Ringo's solo and Beatles songs, mixed in with well-known songs performed by members of his band. The set resembled the old, but that was fine with the crowd. Ringo opened up with "It don't come easy", and the 23 song, two-hour long set ended with "With a little help from my friends".
