Blue System mailing list

Introductory text by Valeng Cha

Welcome to the Blue System electronic mailing list! It is administered by Valeng Cha (cha@stolaf.edu). This mailing list is still fairly new, and so do not rule out the possibilities of a few bugs. But you are now connected to many other people from around the world, many of whom are fans of Blue System or other similar Dance groups. Use this list to discuss any aspects of the people, the band, the rumors, and the items of Blue System. Also use it to discuss the music of Dieter Bohlen, including Modern Talking, C. C. Catch, Chris Norman, Les Mckeown, and other groups Dieter is involved. Any discussion about other European dance groups, including Hi-Energy, Italo-disco, and New Wave is also welcomed.

RECEIVING & POSTING MESSAGES

• You will receive messages sent to the mailing list as soon as possible.
• Messages for the mailing list should be sent to blue-sys@stolaf.edu
• Messages for the administrator, including unsubscribing, should be sent to cha@stolaf.edu

THE RULES OF THE ROAD

1. Please keep the discussion on the list confined to that revolving around Blue System, the people involved in Blue System, and bands of likeness. For example, while Johnny Hates Jazz may be a great band, most members of the list don't really care since it's not related to Blue System.
2. Be kind and don't curse. (Or else you suck.) There are many people with different opinions; some are harmonious, others conflicting. All postings are OPINIONS (unless quoted as facts).

YOUR HOMEWORK!!!

As a new member of the list, I'd love for you to introduce yourself. It is a great way of letting the other members of the mailing list know of your presence, and also allows me to keep information such as which countries subscribers are from. Information you should include are:

• Name
• Age
• Where you first heard of Blue System, and initial reactions to their music.
• How much of a fan are you.
• What is in your Blue System/Dieter Bohlen collection (BS: organize them by album, singles/remixes, videos, collectibles. Then do the same with other Dieter-related groups such as Modern Talking)
• What are your top 5 Blue System songs? (I know, it's hard to pick!) And top 5 Modern Talking songs?
• Other Dance artists you like. (Bad Boys Blue? Fancy? Joy?)
• What course or job you're doing (if any).
• Any other interesting information you wish to share.

UNSUBSCRIBING

Should you wish to unsubscribe from the list at any time, simply send a message to Valeng Cha at cha@stolaf.edu and you will be removed from the list.

AND FINALLY...

Thanks for deciding to subscribe to this mailing list. I urge you to say to ask anything you like about Blue System - don't feel that you will be asking stupid questions or making ridiculous statements. Make the most of the members in the list and the knowledge they possess! And most importantly, enjoy yourself!! I look forward to seeing your introduction!
