GOOD NIGHT
(SPOKOINAYA NOCH')

Author: "Kino" and Victor Tsoi, 1988.

Roofs of the streets shake under burden of days.
The clouds are watched by shepherd of skies.
The city is bombing the night with electrical rays,
But night's too strong, and the day can't arise.

	Those who lay down to sleep -- I wish you good night!
	                               I wish you sweet dreams!
	Those who lay down to sleep -- I wish you good night!
	                               I wish you sweet dreams!

The time we have waited for finally burst off its cradle.
All those the silent found something to say.
But those who have nothing to wait for, sit in the saddle;
You can't catch them now, they go away.

	Those who lay down to sleep -- I wish you good night!
	                               I wish you sweet dreams!
	Those who lay down to sleep -- I wish you good night!
	                               I wish you sweet dreams!

The neighbours are angry -- their calmness is taken away,
The noise of the horseshoes disturbs their sleep.
Those who have nothing to wait for, start their way;
Those who are saved, who ride and don't creep.

	Those who lay down to sleep -- I wish you good night!
	                               I wish you sweet dreams!
	Those who lay down to sleep -- I wish you good night!
	                               I wish you sweet dreams!
