Fender Deluxe Strat Plus

UPDATE: I recently sold this guitar to help finance the purchase of my Godin LGX. I was a little disappointed to find out that the "used" market for these guitars is not very high, hence the resale value is not very high considering the list price of this guitar.
Subject: Fender Deluxe Strat Plus: REVIEW
Guitar: Fender Deluxe Strat Plus (Vintage Burst)
Price Paid: *CENSORED* including Fender "Plus"
hardshell case
Features:
This guitar has an alder body with ash-veneered top and back. The
tuners are Fender/Schaller locking, the nut is the LSR-roller
type
with the ball-bearings, the bridge is Fender/Floyd Rose, the
pickups
are RED/SILVER/BLUE Lace sensors. My guitar is Vintage Sunburst
with
Pearloid pickguard. The finish is really nice, and the black
edges
actually have cinnamon-color metallic particles in it. Therefore,
this
guitar would look really sweet under stage lights. Controls are
vol/tone/TBX. The neck is rosewood (on mine.) There is a
"trem-setter"
located behind the cover in the back.
Sound:
WOW! I'm very impressed. These Lace-Sensors are totally quiet,
and
high-output! VERY NICE. The blue is a high-output warm sound. The
silver is the traditional reversed phase-coil type, and the Red
is a
hot spanky high-output sound. This guitar sounds really nice
plugged
into a good tube amp. It will sustain like a Les Paul
(practically).
Playability:
After getting the guitar adjusted properly, this is an
excellent-feeling instrument. Very easy to play. Good low action.
Doesn't go out of tune, etc.. etc...
Overall:
I'd buy this guitar again in a heartbeat! It is an excellent
value,
and you're assured of high-resale value.
