Oasis at Continental Arena,NJ Jan.12,98

I'm one of the biggest Oasis fans around!! Well the show started at 7:30 and word was that Oasis was using Pink Floyd's sound system because they were having problems with their own. The sound was incredable ,there was a sub woofer hooked to the drums and bass, so u felt the sound along with hearing it! Cornershop opened for Oasis. They were ok but didn't get that much of a response from the crowd. They played for an hour ,then the crew came on stage to set up Oasis' equipment. Soon after, the lights dimmed, and Thin Lizzy's anthem "The Boys Are Back In Town" played. Then the typewriter sound began to play. Through the shadow and smoke Noel led the rest of the band (including Liam) to the stage! The crowd went nuts!!! They broke right into "Be Here Now" and the place was rockin!!!! It really got everyone pumped up for an amazing night! They played a great version of "Stand By Me" which Liam did really good with the vocals and Noel threw in killer guitar riffs! Everyone was feeling the need for "Supersonic" Noel did a solo in the begining,it sounded really awsome!! Then Liam dedicated the next song "Roll With It" to the people sitting in the white box up in the balcony.Noel dedicated "Cigarettes and Alcohol" to the people over where I was sitting cause at first he dedicated it to himself cause he said "I'm an old fookin geezer, this ones for the people up there"This song was pure attitude and the crowd loved every minute of it!! Then Noel and Whitey started up the begining to "Do U Know What I Mean" This song was cool, with the propeller lights flashing everywhere! Then the band walked off stage and the stage crew brought out a stool and the Takamine for Noel's acoustic set! The crowd really wanted to hear this, especially myself!! Noel walked out and did a beautiful version of " Don't Go Away" Then what I thought he was doing was just messing with the E Minor Chord, he started to play "Talk Tonight" If you ever want to hear the best acoustic song in the world, you have to hear Noel play "Talk Tonight" it just took everyone away!!! Then he did some song that I never heard of before, I think it was a cover from one of the bands from England, but I'm not sure, it was a really nice song! Then he finished up his acoustic set with "Whatever" Everyone in the arena knew this one and started to sing along! Then the rest of the band came out and did "Don't Look Back In Anger" which sounded greater then ever. Then Liam joined the band to do "Live Forever" "Wonderwall" "It's Getting Better Man" and "Champagne Supernova" Now this was the way to end the concert, cause it was so amazing how they played "Champagne Supernova live, it was totally unreal!! They walked off stage and the crowd kept up the cheers for them to come out and play one more! "Aquience" finished it up and it was the best damn live version of the song that I ever heard!!! I really hope they come around again and I would really encourage you to go to one of their shows, it's totally incredable!
