Born: March 8, 1948 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania+++ Won a talent contest at the age of 5 +++ Appeared later on a local Philadelphia TV program - the Rex Trailer Show - for some years +++ Signed with RCA records in 1963, while still in High School +++ Her first release, "I will follow him", went straight to no. 1 of the US charts and became her biggest hit +++ Several other hits followed during 1963 and 1964, incl. "I wish I were a princess" and "Hello heartache, goodbye love" +++ Moved to Germany in 1965 and had several Schlager hits there, including "Mit Siebzehn hat man noch Träume", "Romeo und Juliet" and "Memories of Heidelberg" +++ |
