Jimmie Rodgers

Born: September 18, 1933
Camas, Washington

It took Jimmie only a couple of months between auditioning at ROULETTE records and having his first - and only - no. 1 hit +++ The year was 1957 and the hit " Honeycomb +++ He stayed with ROULETTE until 1961 and had a string of other good hits, including "Kisses sweeter than wine", "Oh-Oh, I'm falling in love again", "Secretly", "Waltzing Matilda" and many more +++ After signing with DOT records in 1961 he had some more, however less successful chart entries +++ Right after having changed to the A&M label in 1967, Jimmie had a very serious car accident, which almost claimed his life +++ After his recovery, he went on performing, however, without any further chart success +++
