Original Line-up: Dorothy Schwarz (later replaced by Lynn Evans) / Jinny Osborne (later replaced by Margie Needham) / Janet Ertel / Carol Bushman

Originally from the town of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, the group was formed already in the late 40s +++ Winning Arthur Godfrey's talent contest in 1951 they appeared regularly with the Arthur Godfrey Show +++ In 1953, first Dorothy and some months later also Jinny left the group and were replaced by Lynn and Margie +++ In 1954, the group was signed to the CADENCE label +++ Their first release, "Mr. Sandman", became an instant no. 1 and stayed at the top for 7 weeks +++ Further hits on CADENCE followed between 1955 and 1961, including "Eddie my love", "Born to be with you", "Lollipop", "A girl's work is never done" and "Never on Sunday", their last chart success in 1961 +++ "Lollipop" is said to have inspired none other than the Bee Gees to pursue a musical career +++
