Formed at "St. Anthony of Padua" High School in the Bronx, New York, the group took their name from from another school, "St. Francis de Chantelle" +++  Richard Barrett from GONE records heard them and got them a contract with GONE's affialiated END record label +++ Their first release in 1957, "He's Gone" only had moderate success +++ The second release in early 1958, "Maybe", however, made it to the Top 20 in the US, and was followed by further moderate hits +++ Signing with CARLTON records in 1961, the group still had another Top 20 success with "Look in my eyes" +++ The group still had moderate chart success until 1963, recording later also for VERVE and BIG TOP +++
