+++ Made his first recordings, "Crazy Arms" and "End of the road", at the SUN studio in Memphis in 1956 +++ Hit the US charts in 1957 with his pumping piano style and "Whole lotta shakin' goin' on" and the follow-up "Great balls of fire" +++ "Whole lotta shakin' goin' on" was recorded in one take only +++ Further hits included "High school confidential", "Breathless" and "What'd I say" +++ His career came to a sudden stop when his marriage to a 13-year-old cousin, Myra Brown, scandalized the US in 1958 +++ Over the years, Jerry has recorded Rock, Soul and especially C&W +++ "The Killer" had further hits in the 70's with "Me and Bobbie McGee" and "Chantilly Lace" and "Drinking wine Spo-Dee-Ooo-Dee" +++
