+++ Joined Al Casey's combo in 1956 +++ Was signed by Lee Hazlewood, a local DJ in Phoenix, in 1957 +++ His first recording as Duane Eddy & The Rebels, "Movin'n'Groovin'", was released in early 1958 under the JAMIE label +++ Numerous instrumental hits followed, all featuring Duane's "twangy" guitar sound and Lee Hazlewood's production +++ Duane was especially popular in Great Britain, where he had one Top Ten hit after another in the early 60s, including such classic Rock'n'Roll records as "Rebel-Rouser", "Ramrod", "Peter Gunn" and "Dance with the guitar man" +++ Had a comeback hit in 1975 with "Play me like you play your guitar" +++ Duane Eddy is regarded the No. 1 Rock'n'Roll instrumental artist of all times +++
