This is the page I shoulda worked on first *grin* but there is so much i didn't know where to start. anyways, here goes....

My Drumming:

I started drumming when i was 12. I had been taking general music lessons since i was 4 and my father said to me that it was time to pick one instrument to specialize in as well as being well-rounded in music (nowadays i just seem to be rounded but that's a story for my fitness page. working on it, should be done bfore i get old...). Well, i thought about it and the first choice was guitar an i thought no, there will be enough guitar players out there that i won't have to worry about it (i was right). second choice was piano and that didn't suit me as being really rockin (i'm still regretting that choice) and bass i didn't really appreciate so i thought about it for a while, and i didn't know anyone who played the drums, so i chose them! hoo-ray for that!! Six years of lessons and 17 years of banging away and i'm proud to say i know my career path was chosen correctly since then. here's some stuff about my drums and drums-related sites/resources/etc. on the net and in my life (constantly under construction, of course!)

DRUM LINKS

The Starving Musician..This is a used/new instrument music store in my town and THEY DO SHIP!! so buy me something nice :)
Cyberdrum...cool site, with a great interview with Carter Beauford of Dave Matthew's Band!
Lessons with Chuck Silverman..this guy is really cool! and he's real too, talked with him in a drum-message board.
The Drums and Percussion Page...A really good resource for drummers (you thought i was going to say cool again didn't you?)
Sheila E. ..yesss!!!! she did a clinic at a local drum shop with Terri Lynn Carrington that was extremely enlightening :)

Bass Links

Ok, Bass is my second instrument and what is a drummer without a bassist (a solo!!!! Hit it Bonzo!)

Tony Levin;s Road Diary...wow.
Carol Kaye...you've heard her play before..check out how long her songlist is, yes she played on that too!

Didgeridoos!!

I have been playing the dij for several years now. This is an aboriginal instrument from Australia and considered to be one of the oldest known instruments (not counting banging on a log with a bone of course ;) sound file to come soon, for now, check out this link:Didgeridoo University

That's it for now, thanks for reading and i'll put more up later! D
