Because the cats were so inbred, they developed a distinctive quality- each paw had six toes. Muffy and Bandit have that "Hemingway" mark.)
Dogs- a Doberman named Conrad and a Golden Retreiver named Simba; he used to have a Scottish Terrier named Boo Boo, but he died in an accident in 1996.
