Allerseelen: Industrial Folklore

The Austrian group Allerseelen have been active and innovative in the industrial and apocalyptic folk genre for many years. Their CDs and 7" editions have been issued on the Aorta label, their double-LP editions on Ahnstern, a division of the Steinklang label. The most recent releases of Allerseelen were the CD Hallstatt and the DoLP Gotos=Kalanda. Allerseelen is a unique combination of industrial and folkloristic elements, and "Industrial Folklore" might be an appropriate expression to embrace these seemingly contradictory qualities. Allerseelen have performed in many European countries as well as in North America and Russia. On stage, the songs quite often manifest very differently from the studio versions. The dynamic stage presence of one or two martial drummers, the psychoactive bass player, and the front man all contribute toward a unique mood of "Apocalyptic Krautfolk" for these live performances.

The Allerseelen CD Hallstatt contains thirteen brand-new apocalyptic and passionate songs about love and death. This release - musically situated somewhere in a terra incognita between folklore, krautrock, metal and industrial music - is inspired by the beautiful Upper Austrian village Hallstatt which belongs to the world cultural heritage due to its amazing tomb findings of the Hallstatt culture and the unique ossuary with the painted skulls. The songs have lyrics and vocals by Gerhard Petak and  R. N. Taylor from Changes.

GERHARD HALLSTATT: BLUTLEUCHTE (BOOK) (AJNA) (2007)

Ajna will publish a beautiful book named Gerhard Hallstatt: "Blutleuchte" later this year. This beautiful book edition will be bi-lingual. It will contain all the tracts written by the founder of the industrial folklore group Allerseelen in German and English several years ago for the sold out magazines Aorta and Ahnstern and a lot of photos. The book will also contain a foreword by Joscelyn Godwin. Some of the topics: Calanda, Joseph Beuys, Rudolf Schwarzkogler, Karl Maria Wiligut, Otto Rahn, Castel del Monte, Corneliu Z. Codreanu, Leni Riefenstahl, Montsegur, Z´ev (Interview), Alfred Schuler, Cocullo, Fidus, Mithras, Blood Axis (Interview), Burzum (Interview), Viktor Schauberger, Kenneth Anger and some other themes. Allerseelen DoLP Neuschwabenland (March 2008)

Allerseelen and Ahnstern will work on a completely new artwork for this DoLP.It does not only contain the music of the Allerseelen CD Neuschwabenland but also one lp side with exclusive unreleased songs recorded in 2007 / 2008.
