Lady Jo's Stuff!

Untitled

Just a little note to say
A short and sweet goodbye
I’m sorry, I must leave you
For that mansion in the sky.

God has called and He requests
My presence at His throne
I’m going to live in heaven soon
In God Almighty’s home.

I’ve heard them say it won’t be long
Till I take my final breath
I hope that you’ll be strong for me
When I exchange my life for death.

We could have had a precious love
So strong and sweet and fine
But it’s too late for me my love
I’m running out of time.

God will claim my spirit
The earth will claim my bones
I’ll leave my heart with you my love
Forever, when I’m gone.

The Garden

The world would be a better place
If we’d only stop to see
The flowers in the garden
God grows for you and me.

The whole world is His garden
He tends with loving care
He weeds and waters endlessly
With helpers everywhere.

His flowers grow in gorgeous splendor
In different sizes, shapes, and hues
And He watches each and every one
Shine bright in the morning dew.

Sometimes He may decide to pick
A bloom that’s past its season
Sometimes he picks a tiny bud
We’re not to know His reason.

We may not always understand
Why He picks a certain flower
But we must believe He knows what’s right
For His garden every hour.

What’s Mine is Yours

My heart is your house
The key is in your hand
Come inside.
My mind is your refuge
Place your worries there
Forget them.
My body is your leaning post
To lean on when you’re tired
Rest against it.
My ears are your microphones
Speak into them
But only with love.
My arms are your shelter
Come in where you’ll be safe
Forever.
My life is in your hands
Hold it, caress it, love it
But don’t drop it
It will shatter
And I will be destroyed.
