Spin's Stuff!
Untitled
I sat in awe as you lay sleeping
A gentle, loving vigil keeping
You turned, awoke and looked through me
With cold, unseeing eyes
I waited for you all day long
You called and said you won't be home
"I have to work late again" you lied
Through your deceiving lips
Another day, another night
Longing just to be held tight
I reach for you, you push me away
With rough, uncaring hands
You climbed the stairs to go to bed
"Come follow me" you loudly said
With hesitating steps I follow
Your staggering body one more time
I care so much, my heart is breaking
This isn't love that we are making
You think it is my "wifely duty"
With your drugged and boozed up mind
When you are through, you turn away
You haven't anything to say
I lie beside you quietly weeping
My spirit now is crushed
Another day, another night
But I have given up the fight
I'm leaving you, it's finally time
I'm walking out the door
HE TAKES HER
Her pretty grey eyes stare at him
Her face is framed by long brown hair
He takes her as he's done before
She can't awake from this nightmare
His body glistening with sweat
Moves faster, harder into her
He takes her as he's done before
She can't think straight, her mind's a blur
Her pretty grey eyes turn to stone
Her brown hair wet against her face
He takes her as he's done before
She can't escape his rough embrace
His kisses forced on passive lips
Her fear of him is slowly dying
He takes her as he's done before
She can't remember every crying
Her pretty grey eyes, now turned wild
Her brown hair matted with his blood
He took her as he'd done before
But he'll never take her anymore
Her pretty grey eyes stare at him
Her face is framed by long brown hair
He's just a tiny little baby
Who'll never know his momma's care
