Meet the Guys that Make it Happen - *TEAM GBS*
These are the guys you can thank for making sure everything runs smoothly at a Great Big Sea show..they are in charge of all the important stuff, like sound, lighting, and keeping the b'ys in line. haha They are all really cool guys! Lets meet them now, shall we.
This is Benson (aka Ron Downey)..He's the guy responsible for that amazing light show you see at every Great Big Sea show..He's Awesome!
This is Danny Thomas. He's the guy you see before the show testing all the mics and instruments. During the show he hands off the guitars to the b'ys at instrument changes, and makes sure everything is in the right key and what have you. To quote a certain fan that shall remain nameless "Danny has hair that is nice and curly". He's a cool guy.
This is Louis Thomas. He is Great Big Sea's Manager Exrodinaire! You may see him at random shows across the country. I guess Louis isn't really a "roadie", he's the Leader of *Team GBS*! He's a really nice guy.
This is Tony Pitcher. He is Tour Manager Supreme! It's his job to make sure everything runs smoothly while the b'ys are on the road, he's the one that keeps them in line HAHA! He also works in the sound booth during the shows.
This is Mark. He was one of the very first GBS roadies, from back in the day! He's a really nice guy, wonderful to chat with, and apparently had a watch that was similar to Jemma's (haha). His job included everything that Danny does now. Mark was around in 1996, pre-Danny times.
