Absinthe...what can I say about it...I could say that it is coming back on the goth scene, but then again it never really left. I could say that it is, at most times, a green liquid made from brewing wormwood and other herbs, but quiver at the thought of some cas(casual), prep, or jock thinking "Brew? Uhhuh, uhhuh, uhhuh, like, is it like Bud or Miller or somethin' foreign." I could say that it is illegal in the U.S. of A. for being toxic, but then it used to be a prized possession in the cabinets of the posh and worldly...and still is. I could say that it could make you mad, but then many litterary and artistic geniuses like Ernest Hemingway and Vincent Van Gogh drank it...oops--perhaps that wasn't such a good counter-arguement. Well, in any case, it is something that I am beginning to learn about, and since it is something that has nurtured and been a part of the gothique community soooo long, I am insuring it's place in my MONASTERY. -THE HERETIC
