The House of Ryu

The House of Ryu

Ever since it came out, I have had an uncanny ability to play Street Fighter. My first time I played it, I fell in love with it...and beat it. No, I am not about to say that it was Ryu that I was first instinctively drawn to--it was Ken. My friend, Errol, who had shown me the game for the first time swore that he was the best character...he was almost right. We used to fight over who would be Ken (Pre-Champion Edition) until I sensed something great in the Wandering Warrior, know as Ryu. Since then I have not only had him as a favorite player, but as a role model for manhood and honor. At a teen conferrence, for the organization that I used to be a part of, known as Jack & Jill of America, I had "Ryu" air-brushed on the back of that year's theme T-shirt. I dazzled the Southeastern region by demolishing person after person at a pirated Street Fighter Hyper Fighter machine. People shook their heads at this person who walked up with "Ryu" on his shirt. Later on that day, a person that, whom's name I wish I could remember, laughed and said, "Ryu?! Huh, seems more like Sheng Long to me!!" So for the next year, I was Sheng Long...at least on my shirt. Hell, you guys that have been coming to my site for a while might remember that my email address for the site was sheng-long@usa.net. Anyway, here are some pictures of my favourite video game character ever, and a few with his friends, adversaries, and rivals.
