Exactely the same setlist as the night before, but a much better show! It seemed like the band really felt like playing! This night was the first of the five Astoria gigs
to be announced, so the real fans were at this show! Again a lot of young girls, but not as hysterical as I am accustomed to here in Holland. Also this night there was some kind of Japanese invasion.
It seemed like the entire female population of Japan was occupying the front row. Really funny to see.
We also spotted Therapy? singer
Andy Cairns with his girlfriend. We were kinda hoping he would do a couple of songs with Ash, but he never appeared on the stage....
"Four out of five and still ROCKING!", said Tim halfway through the show and he was right! This night ROCKED! The band looked less tired, played tighter and
yeah, even Tim's vocals were better. Cool show! Definately worth the trip to London!
This time there was a party after the show. a lot of famous Brittish people were there. I spotted The Evening Session's Joe Whiley and some more radio/TV people.
Andy Cairns had suddenly disappeared. At the party Tim was very surprised to see us, he hadn't expected us to be there.
We thought that was pretty strange since both Mark and Rick as
well as guitar roadie Leif knew we were there and none of them seemed to have told Tim.
I promised Tim to give him the bootleg recordings I made and then we said goodbye. Tim had some more posing to do with some Japanese fans....
