The ticket for this show said it would start at 20.00 hrs., this resulted a long line of people waiting to get in, but the doors did not open until 20.30 hrs. While waiting in line I noticed Tommy and E inside the POPULAR café (next to Nighttown) together with opening act SEPTEMBER 67. To my surprise no one recognized them when they came out and walked through the line of people, heading for the tourbus.....

Once inside I found a nice spot to see the show. Unfortunately I could not see Butch properly, but sometimes I could catch a glimp.
September 67 was very well received (better than in Amsterdam) and they seemed to be having a good time up on the stage.
The crowd was very enthusiastic and EELS played a good set. Before FLOWER E asked the people to be very quiet. If they remained quiet he would play a hard rock song after it. "O.K. you were all very quiet", E said after he finished the song, "but I lied about the hard rock song..." (someone screams FUCK YOU!) "Thank you sir! In America that means you're a fine man! Thank you, this next song is for you and it's called FUCKER!" (crowd laughs) "O.K. now I'm gonna play the hard rock song" introduces MANCHESTER GIRL.

When the show is finished, the houselights go on and I think the show is really over this time! I did not expect them to return again, just like they did in Amsterdam. Evelien managed to get a setlist from the stage, I was looking around the venue, talking to some people etc. Then suddenly the band is on the stage again! - HELLO CRUEL WORLD - This song finished the show, leaving behind a very surprised and satisfied crowd.

radio/tv: not radio or tv recordings were made
