"......Having never heard, nor seen, The Dearhunters before, I must say they are quite a surprise when you do come across them.

Heading towards a soft, mellow sound, their arsenal includes some beautiful slide guitar and an array of three different vocalists. Boosted by this is the fact that this band holds remnants of many other well known bands, including the Clouds, The Verys and You Am I.

All the songs seem to have that edge of quality to them, and you can’t help but delight in the sheer elegance of the slide guitar, sultry vocals and all-round professionalism......."

WHAT'S NEWS WITH THE DEARHUNTERS ?

April 2000 - "Red Wine & Blue" is about to be released in the UK through Candle Records, one of a few going that way through the label.

February 2000 - Dearhunters performed in Melbourne as part of the Candle Concert of the Century, at the Corner Hotel.

November 1999 - Candle Records announce a huge show with nearly every band on their roster (including the Dearies) to play a monumental show in Melbourne in February 2000.  See the Candle website for details.....

October 1999 - Sound has been added to the website in the form of MP3 files, and we've called it "The Dearhunters 35 Second Theatre" because each sound grab is 35 seconds long.
